Shorts: Brett Gleason by Walt Cessna

'I take pictures because I simply can't help myself from documenting everything I see. I am visually obsessed and dream in photos. I wouldn't have it any other way.'

I was first introduced to Brett Gleason, the man and his music, when profiling his work with photographer Nicholas Smith back in 2010. Since then, I have followed his career, his songs, his work. The last few weeks have been non stop for Brett beginning with a live New Years Even concert on Youtube (which I never could get connected to) and a live Stream-A-Thon which just ended today. The purpose of the stream was to promote and fund raise for the completion of Brett's full time album.

Although his primary focus is music, his new music video and single, Imposter is coming next month, it was his work in front of the camera that I got to know first, and continues to hold my attention. Brett brings a depth and intensity to his work as a model and weaves in the same level of soul he instills his music and writing with. Brett has a sexy everyman quality, relatable yet complex. A great head of hair and one of the best chests only add to the package. Brett has been featured on FH in images shot by a number of photographers. Nicholas Smith, whose work with Brett you can see HERE: and Thomas Evans who showed us much, much more of Brett in features HERE: & HERE:

I have also featured Brett's work with photographer Walt Cessna whose work I used to help promote Brett's first solo effort, The Dissonance. Walt has been documenting faces, bodies and souls since he was a teenager and says that for a brief moment in the 90's he was 'THE up & coming young buck', shooting for The Village Voice, Interview, Seventeen and many others. Walt left photography for a short time, but in 2000 was introduced to the digital world. Although his first digital camera was a clunky early primitive version, Walt says that he is now happily again ensconced in the world of image obsession and visual distraction.

Walt's new images of Brett certainly proved a visual distraction for me. Brett's shorts, the primary wardrobe, but really all that is needed. The concept may appear simple, but I love the resulting images are some of my favorite shots of Brett.

Urban Ballet by Richard Rothstein

Urban Ballet
By Richard Rothstein

'New York City is the world’s most exciting stage; the perfect place to tell a story, score a musical or in this case, choreograph a dance. Staging urban ballet, capturing the movement of urban men set against the energy, texture. color and raw beauty of New York City is a natural extension of my work as a photographer.'

'The city inspires and allows a range of themes for urban ballet exposing the viewer to humor, irony, sexuality, drama and whimsy. And, frankly, this is a city of constant movement, high energy and pervasive sexuality. What better way to express that than through the movement and energy of beautiful men.'

Romance By Chance

I have never watched The Bachelor. I have as most of you know watched my fair share of other reality shows usually competition based shows like American Idol, Survivor and The Amazing Race. I also have counted on Big Brother as a guilty summer pleasure. This year, The January, former Venezuelan professional football player Juan Pablo Galavis almost had me give it a shot, but again... I stayed away. Juan Pablo is just simply hot, and the brief shots of him shirtless on the ads almost had me moving my reality television romance boundary.

Most reality shows are about relationships, usually the relationship between the contestant and the audience. It is why producers tell us so many back stories, especially on the singing competition shows. They want us to connect with someone on the show, someone we will be loyal to and pull for week after week. Many of the shows I listed end up with romances between players, Big Brother in particular loves to exploit what they call showmances. These romantic, or sexual connections are not though at the core of the show.

We spend our lives trying to connect with others and I cannot help but find shows that exploit this primal need we all have to love, and especially to be loved, difficult to watch. Although most of the Bachelor's interactions are scripted and staged, they are still based on our basic need to mate. Putting 20 or 30 women (or in the case of The Bachelorette, men) against one another for the affection of someone paid to be the center of attention makes no sense to me. Almost though Juan Pablo, almost...

Naked News!

Deputies locate naked man out in the snow!

'Deputies responded to the area and began a search for the subject. Requests for assistance were made to the Oakdale Fire Department and Wisconsin DNR to assist with the search of the subject. Weather conditions at the time were dangerously cold due to wind chills. Deputies located the subject’s tracks in the snow and confirmed the footprints showed the subject to be barefoot.'

Grin and Bare it: Will by Diver Photography

'Will was very laid back and was not ashamed to show off in front of the camera. From his stunning smile to his great physique, Will is an all around great model and guy.'

As hot as Will's body is, his strong arms and great legs, his hard chest and stomach, that beautiful behind and enticing front it is really that incredible smile that lights up every image. There are countless great bodies on FH but not as many of whom that look so naturally happy to be grinning and baring it all. Will's smile is amazing especially in the images in which that's all he is wearing.

These fun and sexy images come courtesy of Little Rock photographer Mark from Diver Photography. I first shared Mark's work last Autumn when I featured his work with model Joe Reece. (The Natural State)

In addition to lighting up each of these images, it was Will's smile that actually first connected me with Mark's work. It was that smile that first drew me to one of Mark's images and had me contacting about a piece on the blog.

Although there were a several images of Will on Mark's MM Page, I didn't know at the time that there were any nudes. I was initially going to focus the piece on portrait and physique shots. That was... until Mark sent on some additional images which I am happy to be able to share exclusively for FH readers.

'Will was a great model to work with! He has never modeled before but I could tell he was ready to go. We did 4 shoots over the course of 6 months and Will was amazing to work with every time. Will was never bashful in front of the camera, and was always willing to show off his body. Will works hard on staying in shape and goes to the gym almost every day to keep his physique top notch.'

To check out more of Diver Photography's newer work, including tons of never before seen images keep an eye out for an upcoming book. In the meantime, check out his Model Mayhem Page for more hot images and news on the book's release. The book will include never seen before nudes and other shots of the models you see featured there.

Local News:

Pretty much every local news station has been covering, and hyping the Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning rivalry taking place for the AFC title this Sunday when the New England Patriots take on Manning's Denver Broncos. I go back and forth on Brady, but he looks damned good in his hat, and his blue practice pants, while taking to the field for practice at Gillette Stadium this week.
