Since the age of 9, actor Andrew Francis has voiced over 50 characters, in over 20 animated series, including many anime series including;
RoboCop: Alpha Commando, X-Men: Evolution, Johnny Test, Action Man, Dragon Booster, MegaMan NT Warrior, Monster Rancher, and Vision of Escaflowne. Thankfully, Andrew has been able to stop out from behind the mike, more and more as he has gotten older.
Some of the 28 year old actors live action roles include stints in
Supernatural, The L Word, Psych, Life As We Know It, Flashpoint Agent Cody Banks and
Final Destination 3. I discovered his beautiful smile, and face, a week or so ago in a repeat of Hallmark's
Trading Christmas. I like to think my movie viewing habits rise above the paint by the number 'lifetime' type of movies but like you all, every once in awhile I sucked into watching one, and admittedly, usually end up enjoying it.
There is a reason these movies tug at viewers, they hit that part in all of us that although jaded, still remembers what we used to believe about Christmas and romance before life and heartache yanked it out of us. They also, usually have a great cast of hot men! It was through corny Christmas movies that I discovered actors
Jefferson Brown (The 12 Men Of Christmas) and
Ivan Sergei (Santa Baby).
Trading Christmas features Faith Ford, Gil Bellows and a slew of great Canadian actors including Tom Cavanagh, Gabrielle Miller and of course Vancouver's Andrew Francis. The movie's plot is simple, but that is exactly why it makes good escapism viewing. The real appeal of movies like this are the appealing actors who bring a level enjoyment to the material and in
Trading Christmas, Francis, Cavanagh and especially Miller make the viewing worth your time. You can check out more of Andrew, including a full list of all the characters he has voiced at Behind The Voice Actors
