Can You Walk On Your Hands?

'You can hang well-hung Michael Biserta above your bed!'

The quote above was one of the tag lines promoting the 2007 FDNY Calendar and it's headliner, model Michael Biserta.  Michael is one of those unforgettable men, whom I'm sure most of you remember from the late 2000's.  His great face, hot body and sexy accent were all part of a very impressive package.  Speaking of packages, given it's Oscar day, I'd say we all agree Michael's is more than award winning.

After the calendar came out, Michael gained a lot of attention, from his stunning modeling shots, especially from NY photographer Walter Kurtz.  Michael also gained some considerable attention, not sure how much of it he wanted, from his appearance in the gratuitous, yet oddly hot, Guys Gone Wild series.

Although I enjoyed seeing the collection of mostly straight guys mooning for the camera's, there was the odd guy or two I felt a little sorry for.  The producers if you remember, used good looking women to bait the guys into dropping trou, usually with a fair amount of manipulative flattery.

Now, no one was forced, but there was still something a little cruel to me with using hot female camera operators to flirt with and prod young, mostly drunk college guys on spring break to yank down their board shorts.  Most were sober enough to say no, or stick with just a quick butt flash, but more than a few revealed the full Monty.

If you listen to the video above, you'll see that even though Michael unleashed his impressive anaconda, he seemed to tire of all the demands from the 'over the top and excited' requests.  'Can you walk on your hands?' Do the helicopter, and Wrap it around your wrist' were all requests Michael ignored. (Well ok.. he did the wrist thing...)  Despite the embarrassing scenario's thrown his way, Michael still came out on top and seemed to enjoy, but not need all of the attention.

'Blonde to the Bone...'

Hair color isn't usually something that attracts me.  Except for my ginger longings, I'm usually drawn more to a man's face, body and overall look.  If a guy's hair does catch my eye, it's usually because of it's style, I tend to like slightly longer, wavy and unkempt hair on a guy rather than slicked back, or perfectly coiffured hair.

Earlier this month, while putting together a piece to spotlight his new site.I headed back into impressive body of work of photographer Hans Fahrmeyer. (A Tuesday Visit)  While scrolling through Hans' Twitter and Instagram, I noticed an image Hans had posted of the oh so beautiful and blonde Blake.

I'm not quite sure if it was the blonde hair that had me paying attention or Blake's hair in combination with his hot body and great face.  I love the shape of Blake's nose and his great lips that he puckered, pouted and pursed in most of his images.

Although straight men are seen as helpless when it comes to a hot blonde woman, research tells us that women.... aren't especially drawn to blonde men.  The old phrase  'tall, dark, and handsome' seems to be the case, with those tired stereotypes sadly playing a role. 

Blonde women are seen as easy, but I think blonde men are seen more as easy going.  Men often think (or maybe often hope) that blonde women are easier lays.  Blonde men on the other had are just seen as more...laid back.  These are of course just stereotypes but it explains why some blonde men may have a more difficult time being taken as serious, goal oriented and driven.

For both men and women, blonde hair can often look fake, which of course is because it so often is.  On Blake it looks natural, as if he was sun kissed by the Gods with a brush of blonde hair and just enough of a tan on his skin to give us those mouthwatering tan lines.

Sam Elliott: The Favored

Although his performance in A Star Is Born is not predicted him to bring him the Oscar, actor Sam Elliott remains a favorite.  I first saw Mask when I a kid, and although I loved the film, Sam didn't initially cause a stir.  I think I crushed more over Eric Stoltz, even covered in movie magic prosthesis.

A couple of decades or so later however, re-watching the film on DVD, I got the Elliott appeal and understood why Cher couldn't quit her attraction to Gar.  Although I have never met Elliott in person, I did see him in person on the set of a film in the late 2000's.  His sex appeal remained strong, and could be felt even from 10 feet away.

Thanks to the Internet, I've been able to look back at some of films, and some of his hottest scenes.  My love of  bad 70's films had me loving Lifeguard, and the actors walk to the shower in The Legacy, remains on the sexiest naked walkaways on film!
