Favorites: Guy Ecker

Jon

As beautiful as Jon Ecker is, (above & Below) while researching him, it was equally interesting learning about his famous father.  Guy Ecker was born São Paulo, Brazil and the Latin edition of People Magazine calls him one of Latin America's most beautiful people. See for yourself below.

After graduating high school in Rio de Janeiro, Guy moved to the U.S. for the first time, where he attended the University of Texas in Austin, during which time he taught English classes, ballroom dancing, trained horses.  He also ran his own translation and dubbing company, before landing his first lead in an independent film.  A second followed, and after his third, Guy packed up his things to accept an acting job in South America

Guy

Guy has been working in Latin American film and television productions since the mid-eighties.  He's earned both acting awards and people's choice awards for his work.  Guy is especially known for his starring role in Telenovela Eva Luna, which reached an audience of 9.7 million during the grand finale, and was among the most globally tweeted events during it's last televised episode. .

In addition to Guy's success in the Hispanic Market, he's also spent a lot of time living in the United States and easily crossed over to American television appearing in two seasons on NBC's Las Vegas, and co-starred in films like Only the Brave and Malevolent along side Lou Diamond Phillips.

As you see from these shots, promoting his work on Telenovela's in the eighties and nineties meant a lot of hot skin shots to promote the work.  Given in Latin American, wearing a speedo, or bikini briefs on a soap was not uncommon, Guy often wore the same for his photo-shoots.  If you check out Guy on Youtube, you can find quite a few of these scenes.

La otra raya del tigre (1993)

Although speedos seem to be Guy's clothing of choice, he wore even less in the 1993 mini-series La otra raya del tigre. (above)  La otra raya del tigre (The Other Stripe of the Tiger) is a novel by the Colombian writer Pedro Gómez Valderrama and although I could not find an original copy, an edited, censored copy of the adapted series is on Youtube.
