Seasonal Sightings:

The Exorcist: Coda

Get down, get dirty, and get dead!

Every year, as October approaches, I start planning for Horror Hunks.  What movies, what actors I want to spotlight during the spooky season.  Every year, I run out of time to feature them all.  I do start a folder to save for the future, but there are a few that I complete, that I still want to share.  This past year, I looked back at the iconic 70's horror film The Exorcist, and found a nude scene from actor Jason Miller who played Father Damien. (HERE:)

I had planned on also posting this piece on the day, but ran out of time of space.  But... when you find a movie called The Disco Exorcist, with multiple actors in nude scenes, you can't tuck it away for the next year.   The film is a hoot, low budget and blood and skin filled.  Despite the title, this isn't a 70's, or even an 80's film, but was made and released in 2011.

Although I wouldn't exactly say this is an LGBTQ+ film, director Richard Griffin does have several LGBTQ+-themed and queer comedy films on his resume.  Griffin once stated in an interview that he makes "films I would have wanted to see as a 17-year-old... a gay sex comedy at 2 AM on Cinemax!  Check out more, including caps and clips, on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Nick Sagar: Scrolling Along

As horrid as social media can be, it can also be an avenue of discovery.  I'm not talking news, post social media platforms are a cesspool for the angry and the bored.  It's also risky with imagery, with so many AI fakes filling up feeds.  Occasionally however, an image stands out that has me wanting to see, and learn more.

That's exactly what happened when someone posted the shot above.  I was scrolling so fast, I had to stop, and begin strolling back up.  After saving the image, I first checked that it was real.  Indeed, the hot torso above is a legit shot of British model and actor Nick Sagar.  I immediately headed to my favorite sites to find more images, and to see if he'd done any on-screen skin scenes.

I was rewarded on both fronts.  As a former model, Sagar had plenty of shirtless shots to choose from. Although he got his start professionally on television in the UK, he oved to the United States in 2011 and quickly began getting roles on episodic television.  Sagar's first roles were guest shots on shows including: NCIS: Los Angeles, Shadow Hunters and Supergirl.  This Christmas, Sagar has the lead in the just released film The Holiday Hitman.

A Sensual Sphere: Ben by MWords Photo

'This was the golden hour sun.'
Ben

When it comes to art, the first hit is  usually visual.  With great art however,  what follows is an emotional response as well.  Adjectives are important when describing any piece of art.  When it comes to FH, and visuals of the male form, I've used a plethora of adjectives over the years.  Many, including words like 'hot' and 'sexy' are focused on that the initial visual hit.  Because we're bombarded with so many visuals when on-line, we often stop at the visual, then scroll on by.  It's rare that image has us stop, linger, and appreciate how the visual makes us feel.

Earlier this year, I introduced FH readers to UK based model Ben Chidley and his work with Jack Saul Photography. (HERE:)  I was struck by the quiet erotic intensity within the images.  When a image is 'sexy' it can  come down to to just the basics, a hot body or body part.  When an image is viewed as 'sensual,' more variables must be in place.  A beautiful body to start, but also elegant poses, lighting, location, and a skilled artist also all need to be a place.

On a recent Twitter scroll, Ben's visuals again motivated to stop, and soak in the sensual atmosphere in the images.  I loved the poses, the light and the story the images told. Sometimes the most sensual of situations occur with small moments from daily life.  The series, was shot by photographer MWords, an artist I wasn't aware of.  I immediately had to contact Ben about sharing their creative collaboration on the site.  Ben was on board and also shared his thoughts on the shoot, and what he's been up to since his previous appearance on the site.

Have you done much modeling since our last piece earlier this year?
This year has been a massive transformational one for me. I have been promoted within my job and also stated my fitness journey this year that led up to me completing my first half marathon last week! Modelling has been something that I’ve really neglected this year however, I am planning to spend a lot more time in front of the camera moving forward because I miss it so much! Once you start modelling, you never really want to stop.

How did you connect with MWords?
Mark reached out to me via my Instagram. I had never modelled before, nor did I ever think that I had much model potential. Before I started modelling, I had my own little at home photo shoots that I began sharing on my Instagram. Mark saw my photos and asked if I had ever considered modelling. I was apprehensive at first but since then we have worked together 4 or 5 times now!

Love the light, what time of day was it?
This was the golden hour sun. I typically shoot in the evening due to my schedule and this was the perfect time, around about 6pm in the summer sun!

What was your favorite part about this shoot and working with MWords?
I always love working with Mark. He is a true professional photographer that always has become a great friend. He helped me a lot to build up my confidence and find the best poses to make me feel good about my body

Were the poses planned, or occur in the moment?
Yes to both. Some of the shots in the bathroom were planned, we wanted to take advantage of the gorgeous golden hour sun that was beaming through the window. The shots on the bed were impromptu, the best shots always are! I was taking a break, laying on the bed, in between set ups and the sun was hitting in all the right places. I often find it easy to shoot the more sensual shots as I feel that the pure act of being naked in front of the camera is a sensual experience.

A Conjuring Check-In

For those wondering, Beau, the conjured witch, is really enjoying his transition to the coven.  These snaps were taken by the yearbook photographer when Beau attended his first class at Coven Academy.  Beau is listening to classic spells and incantations to help prepare for his upcoming apprenticeship.

He's not out of the door yet, but until then, some accountability at last!  So many firsts, for women, for black women, gay men and as many as eight trans politicians were elected this week.  A huge middle finger to all those who demonized and othered.

The Disco Exorcist

Rex Romanski is the grooviest cat in town...

Who can resist a film with the main character being the 'grooviest' cat in town.  As you can probably gather, The Disco Exorcist is part horror, par softcore and part parody of those seventies movies we all loved.  It's even filmed with that scratched, grainy look of a grindhouse film.

Michael Reed

Rex Romanski,(Michael Reed) is a suave playboy with all the right moves and undisputed Disco King, is in for a wild ride as a perfect one-night stand triggers a curse and a visit from hell's blackest demons. Now, make way for the Disco Exorcist!

Rex of course thinks he's one of those smooth dudes who can hit dancefloor and attract the attention of the all the ladies around him.   He does have a certain charm, and has plenty of sex, but Rex has his eye on an attractive porn star from one of his favorite movies.  Unfortunately for Rex, one of his former conquests Rita, catches the action and curse the duo.  Rita practices the occult and voodoo and things turn dark for poor Rex.

Reed & Christopher L. Ferreira

There is quite a bit of blood in the film, but given the humour, and the low budget, it's more amusing than scary.  There's plenty of male nudity, most of the main male characters have butt scenes, and plenty of frontals from supporting characters and extras.  Plenty of opportunities given the porn film within the film and in the orgy scene.  Sorry, I couldn't get the sound to work when I made the clips.  It was a Polish dub, and I watched with English subtitles.
