A couple of months ago I saw an image of a model that grabbed my attention. Thanks to a quick Google image search, I learned the image was taken by Palm Springs Men, a photographer whose work I've had the privilege to previous feature on the site. (HERE:) The hot man in focus, turned out to be model, personal trainer and nutrition coach Cayman Cardiff
I began a 'favorites' piece featuring Cayman's work and began searching for images. When I was going through Cayman's Instagram, I realized that I actually had seen his work before. There was a shot of Cayman from from one of my favorites photographers Gordon Nebeker. I then headed to Gordon's Instagram to see more.
I remembered enjoying Gordon's presentations of his work with Cayman by didn't initially connect that the two models were one in the same. Cayman is able to subtly transform his incredible look, especially with hair length and facial hair. If you check out these two shoots with Gordon, you'll easily see what I mean. There is a tell though... it's Cayman's sexy rosy red cheeks.
Gordon worked with Cayman twice, both in Utah. The first time, he captured the first four of images featured here. For the first shoot, Cayden was clean shaven with shorter hair. For the second shoot, from last September, Cayman had longer hair with his facial hair growing in.
Second Shoot:
'Long, Lean, and Languid, Cayman is originally from Georgia but I didn’t detect any Southern accent when we talked. The Southern charm and politeness is still there!'
During the first shoot, the weather was so hot that Cayman and Gordon moved their location to a nearby canyon in search of a breeze. There was a creek that Cayman dipped his toes in but even though the air was hot, the water was was far to cold to venture any further in. For the second shoot, they worked in the mountains, just above the Utah Salt Flats. For this shoot, Cayman danced in the desert, silhouetted in the afternoon sun with the gold cloth.
