Charlie Heaton in Below

'Stay away from the water....'

Like so many people watching television this past weekend, I began my binge of Below.  I'm four episodes in, with just two left to go.  I began reading about the show last summer, when on-set promotional images of the cast began to be released.  Then, it didn't have an official title, and was simply called 'The Untitled Newfoundland Project.'

I have a fasciation with the most Eastern Canadian Province, having travelled there a s kid.  I love how below captured the feel of Snook's Arm and the mysteries that lurk below the surface of the ocean.  If you check out images of Newfoundland, you'll often see images of ice bergs close to the shore and the towns and villages.   Less so today with climate change, but still a site to behold.

With Joe Keery (Stranger Things)

Josh Hartnett stars as Calvin Penney, a fisherman trying to protect his family and the community after a mysterious sea creature terrorizes the small fishing town.  For a remote fishing village.  It's come home year for the town, and two of Penney's children  return home for a visit. The third son Wade, (Charlie Heaton) still lives at home with dad, both battling their own demons.

Like so many others, I first saw Heaton on Stranger Things, and although I enjoyed his character, I gave up on the show after awhile.  The long waits between seasons didn't help.  Given how slim he is, Heaton surprised me with how great he looked during his nude scene in the shows second episode.  I love also love his character Wade, call me a sucker for cute, but damaged hottie.  As much as I enjoy Charlie, Wade's brother also grabbed my attention, and you can see a bit more of him on the NEXT PAGE HERE:
