Good Tidings
I just wrote, then rewrote, then deleted a rather lengthy Christmas message and greeting. It concerned Christmas pasts, my parents and my not being able to be home this year. In rereading it, it was rather self indulgent. Admittedly most of FH is self indulgent, sometimes even sentimental. When I reread it though, it was not fun self indulgence. I had the same feeling I get when I read things like 'My Life Is Over', 'I can't take it any more' etc on people's twitter and facebook pages.
I then started fresh, and went into a long speech about emotional giving vs financial. How I wished for prosperous emotional give and take in 2015. I deleted that one too. When in doubt though, it is best just to say Thank you. Thank you to all who check into FH each day, each week or even now and then. Since beginning the blog, my readership went up, then up again then threw the roof! Then it went down a bit, then a little bit more but has remained pretty stable the last couple of years and although comments remain minimal. (I know... self indulgent lack of comments...comment) I know there are many of you who enjoy spending a few minutes of your day with FH.
I hope you all have A Merry Christmas and a few memorable moments this holiday season!

12 Days: A Bakers Dozen, James Gaisford in Christmas Under Wraps
I clearly got into my 12 Days series this year, so much so I could not stop with 12... So much so that I watched a Candace Cameron Bure Christmas movie. (Don't judge me, nor her by her brother!). Christmas Under Wraps stars the former Full House star heading to Alaska for a medical Internship. The new doctor soon gets caught up with both the Christmas spirit, and her hunky co-star, actor David O'Donnell.
Early in the film however, there is another actor who lights up the screen with his adorable smile and positive vibe. 20 year old actor James Gaisford plays Wyatt, the flower delivery guy who drops by the clinic on a regular basis. I had not seen James before, but the former model, along with his co-star Kendra Mylnechuk made the more interesting couple to follow in the flick.

James has only been acting a short while, but already has three Holiday films under his belt, along with a couple of features, short and television movies. James has one of those great face that has you rooting for him from the get go. Definitely worth turning 12 days into 13. You can see more of James on his Facebook Fanpage HERE:

James in another Christmas movie, this time 12 Dogs of Christmas: Great Puppy Rescue (2012)

The Cast Of Christmas
A few weeks ago, I wrote about televisions annoying new pattern of ending most of their series in November, usually with a lame Winter Finale. Part of my disdain for this practice is it's pretty much ending the traditional Christmas episode. I know networks don't really love Christmas episodes as they don't always low well in syndication, but audiences sure love them.
Here are some shows, some current, some from before my time that didn't stop producing episodes in November, but went on to celebrate the season. I wasn't yet born when Mary Tyler Moore, The Brady Bunch and The Beverly Hillbillies aired their Christmas episodes, but unlike most of what airs today, I pull them out every now and then to enjoy. If you haven't seen some of them yet, there are some great Holiday Treat DVD's with many classic holiday episodes, here are two of my favorites from Amazon, Holiday Treats & Christmas Treats.
