'This shooting without taboos would be nothing without the professionalism of Cyprien Leym.'
There were several sites back in the late 2000's that inspired me to start
FH. One was the old Oh La La Mag. Many fans of the male form may remember the site, and incredible models and artists it featured. It was through Oh La La that I was first introduced to French artist and photographer
Cyprien Leym.
I think one of the first shoots of Leym's that I saw on Oh La La was his work with model James Ratliff. I featured some of the shots in post back in 2011. (HERE:) I loved how how Leym captured the male form, especially his weave of elegant and erotic. Although more common now, 'elegant' was an adjective that was always associated with images of the nude male form.
Leym's work is clean, sexy and beautifully distinct. Leym's shots always stand out, even with models who've shot with dozens and dozens of photographers. I've been following Leym's work for awhile now, and recently came up on this series I saved from MichaelAndrews73a and his site Naked Calendar Men. Sadly, the site is no longer there, but I'm grateful I saved some of my favorite sets before it disappeared.
Tous Nus! Sans tabous-Pour La Bonne, was is a 2012 initiative from
Jean-Marc Morandini, the radio host and TV presenter, who wanted to support the sports association "Les Érables" which helps people with mental disabilities. Models gathered to pose gracefully and completely naked in front of Leym's lens. All profits from the sale of photos for the operation were be donated to the association.
The goal that the AS "Les Érables" has set for itself is to offer people with mental disabilities welcomed within the Jules Ledein association physical and sporting activities, adapted to everyone, regardless of physical abilities, psychological and cognitive aspects of each person.
Ultimately, a great action, which Jean-Marc Morandini was able to carry out successfully, with the aim of helping an association for mental disabilities which constantly promotes its wide range of sporting activities, where the level of everyone is taken into account.
