Picnic Pleasures

'There are few things so pleasant as a picnic eaten in perfect comfort '
W. Somerset Maugham

It's summertime, meaning many of us do a lot of our eating out, outside.  We munch our sandwiches and snacks with the sunshining above, the birds chirping around us, and the wind blowing our paper plates all over the place. Curious though...when you picnic, do you prefer setting your tuchus on a warm, welcoming blanket, or down on a hard piece of wood?

It's an age old question, with pros and cons accompanying each choice.  On a wooden picnic table, you don't need a blanket, and there's usually plenty of space to spread out your meal. You also don't have to worry about your jug of Kool-Aid or bottle of pop or water falling over The wooden seats however, can often be pretty hard, and often just waiting to spread a splinter into your skin.  They are also well worn, meaning wobbly, and many a butt has slid off the end of a picnic table bench, especially if alcohol is part of the meal.

On a blanket on the ground, you're a wee bit closer to nature.  Although just a foot or two lower than the picnic table, it sometimes feels like you're in an entirely different world.  You can sit, or even lay down and when you're done, you just shake out the blanket and be done with it.  You're also however, closer to ground traveling insects, especially ants.  How many of us have set down our blanket, only to quickly discover we laid it over an ant hill.   If you're still undecided where to plant your posterior, maybe you need a few more visuals to help you decided.  As always, they're just a click away so head on over to the NEXT PAGE to see more.

Favorite Clicks of the Week:

Some of my favorite clicks of the week!  I'm not sure who reposted the above shot on Twitter, but it certainly had me stop and take a look.  The model is Jeff Cutts, who've I featured previously on the site. (HERE:)  The image appears to come from a Sip & Paint event, which I really must take a deeper dive into one day soon!

Love Island

I'm not watching this season's Love Island, but it's hard to ignore all of the online attention. Spoilers and images are all over social media. Much of the attention appears to be on hottie Nicolas VansteenbergheFrom the little I've read, he certainly seems to be making the most of his time on the show.

Dreamcap

Although I'm not really watching any soaps these days, that doesn't mean I don't keep up on my soap hunks.  Thanks to poster Daveid at others at Dreamcap, I get to enjoy all the shirtless scenes I missed.  Above is cutie Giovanni Mazza from General Hospital, and below is Crew Morrow from The Bold and the Beautiful.  I posted about Crew this past Father's Day. (HERE:)

Playgirl

I've written before, (HERE:) about how Christopher Atkins played an impact on my sexuality awakening.  I was too young to see The Blue Lagoon when it came out in theatres, but I certainly made up for that watching later on VHS.  Even before I saw the film, I was lusting after Atkins through images in teen and movie magazines.  I'll never forget finding out he appeared in Playgirl, and finally found an old copy at flea market.

Atkins' Playgirl layout was shot by the great Greg Gorman, who has shot Atkins nude several times over the years.  Playgirl is currently really hyping a new shoot with Gorman and Atkins, but it's not clear whether it will include any nudes.  Atkins has given us many moments of male skin, so he doesn't owe us another nude shoot.  He's a grandfather now, and it's totally understandable if he doesn't want to take it all off yet again.

But.... if it's just a clothed shoot, why not promote it in a magazine like People or Vanity Fair, or just release them on a website.  With the shoot being published in Playgirl, it is just natural that fans will be expecting some nudity, even if it's just implied.  Atkins has hinted they shot some nudes, but also implied those will not be  published.  The issue is supposed to out this month, but thus far, although great shots, all of the preview images are clothed.

Casperfan

Thanks to Casperfan, I was introduced to Italian actor Paolo Turco and his nude scene from the 1970 drama, The Lickerish Quartet.  Despite the 70's helmet hair, Paolo, and the scene is gorgeous.  You can see more caps, and download the clip on Casperfan's site HERE:
