Once again this year, two of my favorite photographers, Greg Lindeblom and Greg Tsontakis-Mally are launching a new exhibition showcasing their visuals of the male nude. The show begins this weekend at the Broward Art Guild in Florida, staring with an opening reception on February 18th starting at 6:30 pm. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and check it out.

Well Rung: Ethan Tate by Michael von Redlich
'The location was an Airbnb in downtown Atlanta (Buckhead) and was absolutely brilliant for the shoot! I used the app to scout the location before I committed to it.'
The Airbnb that Michael rented and utilized turned out to be the perfect location for a shoot focused on the male form. In addition the many spaces, the deck and the large window that illuminated so much natural light, there was also a tall step ladder that ended up being an important part of the shoot.
The ladder is inspired, was that your idea?
It was a mutual idea, actually – the owners had accidently left it there, so we used it!
The ladder's levels promoted so many great poses, how much of that was directed by you how much was from Ethan?
Easily 50/50 – he is very intuitive artistically and knows what makes for a great image.
Michael sent on hundreds of images from his time with Ethan Tate, but the shots featuring the ladder were some of my favorites. The many rungs and different levels created incredible visuals and inspired creative angles from Michael and uniquely sensual poses from Ethan.
I'm sure I am not the only one, who's stood behind and below a hot guy on a ladder. It's almost automatic, to check out their butt as they ascend their way up the rungs. Unfortunately for most of us, the hot guy in question, unlike in Ethan's case, isn't usually wearing CK briefs or no briefs at all.
Were you happy with the finished images?
I was very happy with what we did, but as always, I saw ways to improve my own work.
Do you have a favorite moment from the day?
The chance to meet, talk and collaborate with such a unique individual made it an incredibly positive experience.
With so many incredible shots to choose from, it was a difficult, but immensely pleasurable, task to narrow down my final picks. There was a section of Ethan out on the balcony however, that I couldn't it in, nor couldn't leave out. Look for that set in a piece next week.
