Cockpit...

I'm not sure if Paul Blondie is in the mile high club, but I'm guessing he's familiar with the term, 'We're going down, and it wasn't about an accident in the air.

Favorite Face of the Day: Josh Segarra

'That's you're dick? Too big, You're dick doesn't end!'

Although he's been working steadily since 2005, including as a regular on The Electric Company, like many others, it was a nude scene that first introduced me to actor Josh Segarra.  I know I'm not the only one who took notice of Oli from Staten Island, and his never ending dick, in 2015's Trainwreck.  As one of Amy's early one-night stands, we didn't get to see that 'too big' penis, but we did get a great view of his beautiful butt.

Abbott Elementary

Since his role in Trainwreck, I've been closely following his career.  I think I especially love Segarra's turn as Lance, Brooke's hot and hairy boyfriend Lance.  The Florida born actor is a bit of a thespian chameleon, appearing in a variety of different roles in shows including: Arrow, AJ and the Queen, The Moody's and Orange is the New Black.

The Other Two

In the last couple of years, I've enjoyed the actors turn as Manny from the district on Abbott Elementary.  Thankfully Abbott's creator and writer Quinta Brunson loves to hold on to actors who come in and make an impact in supporting or guest roles.  Many, like Segarra's Manny, continue to pop back in now and then.

It wasn't the actor's role on the ABC sit-com that inspired this post however, it was my recent viewing of the pilot of the Peacock series Laid. Although the show came out last year, I just caught the first episode, and if you saw it, you know Segarra's turn as Jeffery was a short, but memorable one.

Sirens

One of the things I so love about Segarra, something I've seen in so many of the roles he's played, is the joy that shines through.  Segarra has a great smile, and there's as joyous energy that shines through whenever he's on screen.  I first noticed that smile in Trainwreck, and it certainly shone through in The  Other Two and in Abbott Elementary.  Hopefully we'll see more of that joy, with maybe a long term series role, very soon.

Current Reign: Simon by Andrew Bowman

There was a confidence and swagger in Simon's posing that I really liked. I'm also not going to lie, his large appendage helped....

I began the month of April, with a series of shots of London based model Simon King. (HERE:)  The images, shot by Male Beauty by bengie, featured a naked and wet Simon dealing with some early April showers.  I the piece, I mentioned how popular Simon was, both with photographers, and with fans of the male form in the early 2010's.  As I usually do, I also posted a shot of Simon on my Instagram.  The images, led to a few messages with photographer Andrew Bowman about his work with Simon.

I've been enjoying and featuring Andrew's work since 2012, (HERE:) and have always loved his work with Simon.  I knew that Simon had taken a break from modeling, but wasn't aware that he had stepped back in front of the camera and was modeling nude once again.  Since returning to the modeling scene, Simon is mostly shooting with photographers he knows, and enjoys working with. Andrew Bowman is one of those artists.

When Andrew told me he and Simon were still shooting, I was excited to see the results of some of their most recent collaborations.  I have featured shots of Simon several times over the years, but haven't had the opportunity to see, or feature images from this King's current reign.

Andrew and Simon have collaborated four times since Simon's return, and was excited when Andrew shared he had just recently shot Simon again.  This series of images, were all taken by Andrew within the last year.  Andrew loves capturing models in Donald Duck themed unattire.  Donald as may remember, was known for wearing shirts and coats, but nothing below the waist.  This method of shooting allows for some creative fashion choices up top, while leaving the bottom open and unobscured.

It was back in 2012 that Andrew first noticed some outdoor pics of Simon taken by another UK photographer who was living in Portugal.  Andrew loved Simon's confidence and swagger in his posing, and as mentioned, his rather large and impressive appendage.  Several other UK photographers who Andrew knew spoke highly of Simon's work and professionalism so Andrew reached out about a shoot.

They shot just before the 2012 London Olympics, and their first shoot embraced the theme.  Although minimal fashion was required, Andrew shot Simon in swimwear and with Olympic rings on Simon's wrist to incorporate the theme of the games.  They didn't shoot again for five years, but when Simon returned to modeling in 2017, after his break, they quickly creatively picked up where they left off.

'Personally, I think Simon's body is getting better and better and he is more handsome now than ever. He always had an expressive face, looking moody, pensive or just confident. Like a lot of younger models I remember he wasn't keen on smiling on the first 2 shoots whereas now, he's much more relaxed about smiling on camera.  This brings a real warmth to the images. He also has great looking hair and a tight beard which i love.'

Because they've not worked together so many time, both Simon and Andrew are familiar with how each other works.  Simon knows Andrew likes to weave in sportswear and underwear, as well as various props.  Fans of Andrew's work know that he rarely shoots without a fresh bunch of flowers on hand.  The flowers not only add pops of color, they also provide coverage when needed, especially helpful for models new to shooting nude.

'Shooting with Simon is always a great experienced. He is very relaxed with nudity and always comes to a shoot well groomed and confident getting in and out of clothes.'

Given how many times they've worked together, I really wanted to include a few shots from their previous shoots, especially that first shoot back in 2012.  Check out some of Andrew's earlier work with Simon on the NEXT PAGE HERE:
