Prime Time Supporters: Stephen Dillane in Game of Thrones

'Stannis Baratheon with a grievance was like a mastiff with a bone; he gnawed it down to splinters.'
Jon Snow

The return of The Red Woman, Melisandre (Carice van Houten) was welcomed by many viewers of Game of Thrones, especially when she used her powers to put a little fire into the start of the great battle.  At least we were ale to see the flames... Melisandre's return also had me thinking about her earlier scenes in seasons 2 and 3, especially the heat she created with Stannis Baratheon.

I'm not sure how many of you remember the 'war table' scene from season two, but Stannis evoked a few of many daddy fantasies when he had sex with Melisandre on the table.  Although, as is often the case on GOT, it was only the actress who got naked, actor Stephen Dillane still had me lusting for whatever he was hiding under his cloak.

I find English actor Stephen Dillane incredibly hot.  In part it's his immense acting talent, but it's also his amazing face and his way of smouldering intensely when required.  Fans of GOT know poor (or lucky) Stannis didn't make it to fight in the Battle for Winterfeld, he met his end at the end of the shows fifth season at the hand of Brienne of Tarth.

The talented actor has an impressive resume of television, film and stage work. He is also the father of actor Frank Dillane, who some may know from his role on Fear the Walking Dead  In researching the actor, I also loved reading although he respects the show, he wasn't a fan of watching GOT due to all the cruelty and brutality.  Although I know it was a brutal time in history, when I went back to watch some earlier seasons I too couldn't stomach of the brutal scenes some of the characters had to go through. Tankfully there was a bit less of the last couple of seasons.

Angels In America: National Theatre production (1993)

The Hours (2002)

Although Game of Thrones never got Stannis stripped down, Dillane did have a couple of nude scenes on film.  The most notable, his role in the 2007 film Savage Grace.  Although I remember thed threesome between Julianne Moore, Eddie Redmayne and Hugh Dancy, I'd forgotten about Dillane's brief frontal until beginning this piece.

Days, May Come: Rob Eco by Richard Rothstein

Although the season officially began in March, the date doesn't provide any guarantees.. Those of us in the Northeast know, that it's not until May, that we can really trust that Spring has actually arrived.  Yes, there were kids without their winter jackets running around in April, and even guys out without their shirts.  With temperatures however, still hovering near the freezing point, winter remained recalcitrant with snow a stubborn and, looming threat.

But May is here, and it's time to head outside unencumbered.  Leaving the gloves, hat and heavy jacket at home is now a reasonable risk.  It's time to hit the streets, hit the parks and lake and ocean  fronts. It's time to absorb what winter has left behind, and anticipate the summer that lays ahead.

I couldn't think of a better series of images to celebrate the rising temperatures, and provide a little inspiration for a trip to the part, than these shots of the Rob Eco by Richard Rothstein. Spring is a time to celebrate nature and return to the earth and I when I think of Richard's work with Rob, it's a little like returning to ones roots, and starting at the beginnings.

Over the last few years, Richard Rothstein has provided FH with images of many models and shared some of his most erotically charged, and creatively energized themes and shoots.  I have loved the many directions Richard's imagination has taken, but at it's core, it's theme remains the men he shoots, and their connection to themselves, and the environment which surrounds them.

What surrounds most of the men Richard shoots is Manhattan, and if you look back at some of my early pieces featuring Richard's imagery (HERE:), Manhattan was not only the location, but the catalyst and inspiration for his model's movements, actions and poses.

In many of those early pieces, the Manhattan model moving and posing was Rob Eco, often in just his loincloth as Lord of the Concrete Jungle.  Whether posing as Tarzan, or as himself, Richard and Rob formed a powerful creative team and one of Richard's early muses and source of inspiration.

'Very few models have inspired me the way Rob Eco does. There is something in his spirit that sets my creative energy on fire. Sure, he's one gorgeous man and has a remarkable talent for playing many roles in front of the camera, a gift and a genius found in very few models.'

Although we didn't see Rob for a short while, like a long awaited hero, returned last year as the dashing naked fisherman who caught the sexy male mermaid within his net. (Chasing Tail)  Many of you may remember that it was Sergey in the turquoise tail, and I loved seeing two of Richard's most prominent and captivating muses together in Richard's take on the classic fairy tale.

There are no loincloths, no tails or nets in today's shoot, just Rob in the park connecting with his surroundings.  Richard actually sent on this shoot last year, but it was Autumn before I starting piecing it together and decided the beautiful lush green needed to hibernate for the winter, until spring returned, and the risk of frost was (for the most part...) behind us.

Happy 37th to Harry Shum Jr.!

Harry was my favorite guy from Glee, and so glad to watch the success he's had in TV and film.  Glee showcased his dancing skills, but never really gave him much story or opportunities to shine as an actor.

studioMGphotography: Early to Bed...

Early to Rise...

Last month, I featured a series of images previewing Bedtime Stories, the newest book from studioMGphotography. For those who have experienced a great time Bedtime story, you know the feeling of wishing it would never end.  Frequent calls of 'Just one more' are often repeated when the story is stimulating and brings you pleasure.  You want, not make that need, just one more chapter to be satisfied before rolling over to fall to sleep.

'A shoot isn't all serious business!'

If you checked out my first piece on the book, (HERE:) you undoubtedly recognized many of the models featured as Mark had previously shared images from many of his individual shoots with some of th models FH.  I knew from working on those pieces that for every one of the over a hundred images featured, there were more in Mark's archive I was hoping for a peek of.

I asked Mark if he might dig back into the images from the mattress room for some outtakes.  Like with most arousing Bedtime Stories, I wanted just one more chapter to share with with FH readers to help stimulate a good night's sleep.

Although Mark has literally thousands of addition shots from his many shoots, with dozens and dozens of models in the mattress room, I love the additional behind the scenes shots he shared.  The focus as you can see is the many of many faces in the many lighthearted and fun moments which occurred during the shoot.  As sizzling hot as most of the shots in the book are, I love these light and spontaneous captured moments.
