Sucked Back In....

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me....   Like many of you, I watched the reality show Vanderpump Rules when it first hit the airwaves over a decade ago.  Like many, I also stopped watching after awhile, tired of the feigned drama, and materialist melodrama the cast played on repeat.

I wasn't going to check out season 12, which aired earlier this week.  Yet... I found myself lured back in by the bevy of hunky models and and wannabe actors the show always seems to find. I'm sure I'll tire quickly, but for now, cast members like Shayne Davis, (pictured here) might sustain me for awhile.  Check out more of the new wait staff from SUR on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

From The Get-Go: Mason by Karl Royce

'Mason is an absolute joy to work with,, a cheeky quick wit and smile to match.'

I'm guessing many long time FH readers recognize the work of photographer Karl Royce.  I first discovered Karl's visuals over a decade ago on Model Mayhem, back when the site was the primary connector for artists and models.  I saw one of Karl's images in the site's pic of the day contests and was drawn to the way Karl captured such dynamic energy in his visuals.

I quickly got in touch with Karl, and throughout the 2010's, I had the pleasure of regularly featuring the London photographer's work.  The dynamic energy Karl captured came through his skill with lighting and composition, along with his use of vibrant colors, props, pose and fashion.  If you check out my previous pieces, (HERE:) you'll certainly see what I mean.  Rarely has a folding chair been utilized so erotically...

It's great to be able to share more of Karl's work, especially with the magnetic Mason. You can certainly see and feel that dynamic energy is this series of images. As incredible as Mason's body is, it was his expressive face and those beautifully seductive eyes that really drew me in.  Karl and Mason first connected back in 2023 after Mason answered a casting call that Karl had posted.  They immediately connected, leading to multiple shoots over the next two years.  They already planning to shoot again early next year.

'Mason has an easy laid back nature, never in a rush (his Caribbean nature I guess) and will try his hardest to give you the image you're after. '

Originally from Trinidad, located along the Caribbean Sea, Although Mason began his modeling journey at home, he is currently living and studying in England.  It was there, he and Karl connected and began their creative collaboration. Trinidadians are known for their warmth, their witty banter and unique sense of humor, all of which Karl experienced and enjoyed during their multiple shoots.  Karl also shares that Mason's rich, thick accent only added to his warmth and charm.

'Mason always comes to a shoot as a blank canvas to be honest and really just goes with the flow. Although I give him the theme/concept/premise beforehand to check, he's never expressed any objections or concerns. Every shoot is fun and he`s always full of energy which is the main reason/'

Karl heard from a few other photographers that Mason could be a little shy until he felt comfortable. Given their instant connection and rapport, Karl never experienced this as they clicked from the get-go.  One of the things Karl loved most about working with Mason was how much they talked during their shoots. So much so, they often ran beyond the time schedule due to all the great conversations and stories shared.

12 Days: Frédéric Brossier in A Keller Christmas Vacation

'Three reluctant adult siblings join their parents on a Christmas river cruise through Europe, each dealing with personal issues, only to find unexpected joy, romance, and family bonds along the journey.'

I haven't watched many Hallmark holiday films this season.  Some years, the channels and movies are always on in the back ground, other years, not so much.  I've caught bits and pieces of some, but the one film I actually watched start to finish was A Keller Christmas Vacation.

I thought the story was good, and the cast worked really well together.  I enjoy Jonathan Bennett and Brandon Routh, and have loved Eden Sher since her time playing Sue Heck on The Middle.  I've featured both Bennett, (HERE:) and Routh, (HERE:) in 12 Days posts before.  There was someone else in the cast however, who certainly caught my eye.

Although 12 Days was originally started to strip the clothes off those Hallmark Hunks, it wasn't just the heroes and leads.  Not just the Scrooge acting CEO's, small town doctors and lonely widowers.  It was also to bare the supporting cast, those friendly neighbours, the shop owners and one gay character sometimes included in the cast.

In A Keller Christmas Vacation, one of the supporting characters, was Noah, the cruise ship's cruise director, or maybe Noah was the purser....  Anyhoo, Noah was played by the enchanting  Frédéric Brossier, a German actor I'd not seen before.  This wasn't the German actor's first Hallmark film however, he'd previous played the lead in the 2023 holiday flick A Heidelberg Holiday.

Brossier grew up in  Rüsselsheim, a German city where he gained his first experience acting during his time in school as part of the 'Young Ensemble; of the Rüsselsheim Theatre.  Brossier later studied acting a the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media.  Roles in theatre productions quickly followed, then roles in both television and film.

A Keller Christmas Vacation was filmed in Europe, with scenes set in various cities in Austria and Bulgaria.  This meant Brossier didn't have to make the trek to the United States, or Canada, where Hallmark films are usually filmed.  I really found Bulgaria incredibly engaging, (and hot) and will keep my eye out for future roles!

All You Need

In 2021 and 2022, Brossier starred in the German comedy series Fernsehserie, (All You Need) In the series, Brossier played Robbie, one of four gay men exploring the challenges of life and love while living in Berlin.  Thanks to Xander7 for the caps!

End of the Seasonal Sightings:

'The quiet transition from autumn to winter is not a bad time at all. It's nice to store up your warmth and your thoughts and burrow yourself into a deep hole inside, a core of safety where you can defend what is important and precious and your very own.'

Tove Jansson

One of the reasons I do an 'end' to seasonal sightings is that's it a good way to say goodbye to Autumn, or whatever season happens to be ending.  A last look at the male form surrounded by the sites and colors of the season. End of the seasonal sightings is also a way for me to 'close out' my Autumn file.   I have a folder with sub folders for each of the four seasons, and I like to start fresh each year.  In part, it's because I like to find new and unique images, and also, some images  which grab my attention one year, don't hold the same appeal with the next years comes around.

I love all four seasons, but I think I have a preference for fall and winter.  I many, I love cozy nights and brief stints of hibernation, but the cool and cold weather also energizes me.  Living on the East coast, the summers can get incredibly muggy, zapping my energy when outside.  Although I love the sun, I tend to shorten my walks and runs, and head to shade when it gets especially hot and muggy.

The start of every season is like a new beginning, like having four additional January 1st.  I know many love living in Southern climates, where it's warm all year round, but I love life changes that season changes bring.  Like so many of you, I have four different wardrobes, hats and footwear for almost every possible winter condition.  Winter boots, rubber boots, hiking books and sneakers with treads for whatever I'm walking on.

More than the temperature changes, what I love most are the visual changes.  From my living room, the view outside changes from month to month.  It's never the same for long.  It's like changing a room's paint color or artwork several times a year, without having to spend a penny.

I think I'm more impacted by visual change, or the lack of, than other people. It's not just the images on FH that I strive to follow the seasons.  I change my table cloth, a couple of cushion covers to match seasonal colors. I even annoyingly switch many of the pictures on my walls, several times a year, to match the holidays and seasons.

These Are The Best Days Of Our Lives

In addition to the beautiful bangs hanging down face of model Shayne Davis, Vanderpump Rules has hired four other model and actor hopefuls to wait and bartend at SUR.  Two, (Jason and Chris) already  had OnlyFans sites before the show began, all, are seeking fame, at least for their fifteen minutes.

I have to keep reminding myself that reality shows always bring disappointment.  There isn't one reality star who I once liked, that I end up disliking after a couple of seasons.  I remember loving Captain Sandy during season one of Below Deck Mediterranean, thinking how great it was she pushed through the male dominated industry to become a captain.  By season 2, although I still respected her as a captain, I thought she was one of the worst leaders and supervisors I'd ever seen.

Marcus Johnson

The same goes for almost every crew member, housewife and house husband in the Bravo universe. The possible exception might be Guerdy's husband Russell on The Real Housewives of Miami.  I haven't watched the last few years though, so that may have changed...

Jason Cohen

I remember when I first started watching Vanderpump Rules.  It was probably in about 2018.  I went back and binged the seasons I missed.  I loved me some Tom, Tom and Jax, especially the fun they had and all the butt baring scenes.  It didn't take long to see they were all idiots.  Now James, I disliked from the start, but with the original three, it took a season or two to stop enjoying watching them be idiots, to being totally annoyed by it.

Venus Binkley

The only member of the original cast I still sort of like is Katie.  Even Ariana annoys me.  I know she got the lions share of support after Tom cheated on her, but it didn't change my opinion.  Of course I was on her side, but by the time she and Tom broke up, she'd already gone 'Hollywood' and wasn't the cool, independent bisexual woman we were first introduced to.

Although I've only watched the first episode, I think my favorite is Venus.  The guys are all good looking, but Venus stands out.  Not just because he's gay, but because he's unique.  He also has a ethereal beauty and quality.  We'll see how I feel by the New Year...
