Horror Hunks: Ryan Phillippe in I Know What You Did Last Summer

'He's got his hook in them...'

Now that the calendar has switched over to October, regular FH viewers know it's the start of spooky season and the beginning of my annual salute to the hunks of horror.   Horror Hunks is one of my favorite themes to explore on the site, especially given so many of todays hottest, and most talented actors got their start in horror films.  I also really love revisiting horror flicks I watched growing, and discovering new films each year, I'd never seen, or heard of before.

Most of actor Ryan Phillippe's early hits came out in my prime school time movie going years.  It was back in 1997 that Phillipe played the hot but privileged Barry Cox in I Know What You Did Last Summer.  The film followed four young friends bound by a tragic accident.  The four are reunited when they find themselves being stalked by a hook-wielding maniac in their small seaside town of Southport, North Carolina

I think the 1997 horror film was my first introduction to Phillippe, and like so many, I was instantly in lust.  No, there was no nudity in the film, but the actor wore a white tank top in his opening scenes, and that, along with the shower scene, was more than enough!

My motive for featuring this film, and actor Ryan Phillippe, was a little more than just a look back at the Kevin Williamson written teen horror flick.  I've also been wanting to feature Phillippe in my Actors & Skin series for awhile.  Today seemed a great excuse to do that.  I know, most of you have seen Phillippe's nude scenes multiple times, but there just might be something new if check out my series of pieces on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

v_photografia: In Brief

'They add a sensual touch...'

As much damage as the Internet has brought to society, as a form of connection, it still transcends.  Growing up in the late eighties and nineties, my early teens occurred just before the technological revolution.   We had a writing assignment in junior high, which connected us as pen pals with students from other junior high schools around the world.  I remember writing to other school students in Hamburg, Sydney and in Mumbai.

Part of the assignment was learning about the city and the culture, I was only about 13 at the time, and the student in Mumbai was also around the same time.  I never thought back then, to ask about the status and rules around the male form in art and culture.   Even if I had been curious, I don't think I would have been brave enough at the time to ask.

Cut to 2025, when communicating with someone from India doesn't take writing a three page letter, and waiting weeks for a response.  An e-mail gets their instantly, and images of the male form can not only be discussed, but posted and seen instantly on-line.  I started following and enjoying the work of photographer Vicky from v_photografia awhile ago.

Vicky is also from Mumbai and has been shooting for the last 10 years. Recently we started messaging back and forth about his work, his images and societal views on the male form in art.  Over the years on FH, I've had the opportunity to visually visit and feature models and artist from around the world.  Although I've presented a few models from India, I believe Vicky is the first photographer from the country I've had the pleasure to spotlight.

'I always felt Indian men are very sexy with amazing body but we're always hesitant to experiment. So I started it. Initially it was very difficult to find models and convincing them was(is) a task.  Slowly I started with few trial sessions and got hang of how to do bold shoots.  When I approach almost 100 boys, statistically my success ratio is 100:1.'

Although finding models might be a struggle, when Vicky does find just the right one, it's creatively worth it.  Vicky finds Indian models uniquely handsome, sexy and find the new generation of young men even hotter.   Vicky is hoping this new generation is more open to seeing the nude male form as art, and hopes to continue his adventurous journey.

'Over the period I had interesting experiences during shoot came across some amazing models and a few scammers as well. Overall though, I've had some real good experiences of many shoots, where models were very experimental and open so got to click many amazing shots, its all about gelling between model and the photographer. I have had some interesting moments during shoot funny, irritating, sensual all of them which I do cherish.'

Although Vicky sent on a variety of shots, including implied nudes and rear shots, some of my favorites featured models in the skimpy white bikini briefs.  Sometimes, a brief can cover, but in some cases, like with Vicky's work, they can also uncover.  The white briefs cause the viewers to focus on the image differently, and in addition to highlighting certain body parts, they also caused me to notice small but differences in the models facial expressions and eyes.

Although Vicky shoots full nudes, given the culture, many of the models he shoots are hesitant about them being shared on the net.  The white briefs not only look great, they also give Vicky more freedom to share both his work, and the beauty of the many men he's worked with.

'White briefs are fundamental.  Indian men have tanned skin so white looks particularly sexy. They show off bulges very well, and wet white underwear makes things well visible in many ways. They add a sensual touch.'

Although Vicky may not share his more explicit images on-line, the models he shoots are supportive of him sharing them privately.  If there's a model you see here you like and want to see more of, or if you just want to check out more of Vicky's work, you can check out his Instagram HERE:  Vicky welcomes messages from viewers who enjoy his work and might want to purchase more explicit images of a favorite.
