Anticipation...

'It's not where you start, it's where you finish...'

I have sort of love/hate relationship with Ryan Murphy projects.  I tend to love the beginnings, but not necessarily the middle and ends.  I loved the first season of Popular.  I hated the second.  I loved the first season or two of Glee, then... not so much.  I loved the first season of Feud, yet had no interest in watching the second.

Other times, like with shows like Rachet, they pull me with a great cast, and fantastic visuals, but the story doesn't hold my interest.  I did tune in to the first few episodes of Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, but didn't continue.  I will, eventually.  I loved Evan Peters and Niecy Nash, but my mood wasn't up for the dark subject matter when I tuned in to watch.

All that, I am eagerly anticipating tuning into Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, when it airs later this week on Netflix.  First off, all these later, I'm still fascinated with the story.  Even the last few years, new stories have come out, with so me working to get the brothers released.  They have been in prison over 20 years, and it does seem reasonable to reexamine both the case, and the judgement.

Of course I'm also looking forward to seeing Nicholas Chavez and Cooper Koch as the brothers.  I featured them last spring when filming started, (HERE:) and am curious to see the results.  I love Koch, and although I never watched Nicholas on General Hospital, he seems destined to be a star. and the promotion certainly has a focus on the homoerotic.  I, like so many other fans of the male form, am also anxiously awaiting to see if Murphy will give us our first view of Chavez's cheeks!
