'The first day of spring training is like the first day of school.'
After a long winter of hibernating inside, there's nothing more exciting, (and stressful) to an athlete, than spring training. Sure, many still worked out during the winter, but there's nothing like getting back outside to really feel the spirit of your sport.
If any of you have played soccer, football, rugby or another outdoor field sport, you know there's nothing worse than a wet field. Sometimes, games and practices have to be cancelled due to the moisture. Sure, fields get wet in the summer after a rain, but it's at it's most moist, at the beginning of spring.
The frozen ground is melting below the surface, meaning it's not just wet on the surface, but deep into the earth. Thankfully for us, it the grass had dried enough on this day, for the Beverly Rugby team to get out for their first spring practice. So thrilled to be outside, the all stripped down to enjoy the sunny afternoon. As you can see, the Beverly Rugby Calendar didn't edit out the brief flashes of frontal in their outtake images!
