Tom Cruise: Actors & SKIN

'Well, if she has to be naked, I’ll be naked, too'
Tom Cruise

Endless Love (1981)

Viewers got there first glimpse of Cruise skin in a brief, but rather forgettable scene in the 1981 Brooke Shields film Endless Love.   Around the same time, Cruise took a bigger part in the Timothy Hutton led Taps.  Hutton, fresh off his Oscar win for Ordinary People was a big star at the time, so Taps ended up being a great vehicle to help launch Cruise's career.

Taps (1981)

Tom had a shower scene in Taps, and although you saw a wee bit of butt crack, it wasn't exactly sexy given their were kids included in the scene.  It was however, his first official scene of movie skinning, so has to be included.  We saw a a little bit more crack more recently in two scenes of Tom mooning in 2017's American Made, but although he's often shirtless, Tom's pants have for the most part remained up and buckled since the 80's.

American Made (2017)

Far & Away (1992)

Although Tom showed very little in 1992's Far & Away, it was actually one of my favorite of Tom's nude scenes.  This was Tom's first film with then wife Nicole Kidman, his second, Eyes Wide Shut (1999), an erotic drama that although showed nudity, none of it from Tom, Far & Away was actually far more sexually stimulating for me.  Although we saw very little, just like Kidman's character Shannon, we were hungry for a peek behind the curtain and what was hiding under that glass washing bowl.

Jerry Maguire (1996)

I loved Jerry Maguire, and Tom was at his most romantic.  I wasn't a fan of the black briefs, but there was a quick or you'll miss it, dark, but memorable butt shot.

Risky Business (1983)

One of Tom's most popular movies, Risky Business (1983) is actually one of my least favorites of Tom's early films.  He does have a lightening fast butt scene on the stairs, but hardly worth stopping and pausing.  More pause worthy, even more so than his underwear dance, was his early morning tighty whity scene (above) in his bedroom.

All The Right Moves (1983)

Tom's only frontal was in 1983's All the Right Moves, and as you can read below, we have actress Lea Thompson to thank.  We can sadly though, also thank her for the film having just one, not two possible views of Tom's tuckus.

When Cruise heard Thompson didn’t want to be nude multiple times in the film, he took matters into his own hands and spoke to the producers himself. “Tom managed to talk them out of one of the [nude] scenes,” Thompson said. The remaining nude scene required Thompson to appear topless. Cruise stood up for the actress again when he told producers he would also go naked if Thompson was required to do the same. “In the second, he said, ‘Well, if she has to be naked, I’ll be naked, too,’” Thompson said. “That’s pretty badass! I’ve always been grateful to him for standing up to the producers.”
