It's Beginning to look a lot like Twixmas...

T’was the week after Christmas, and all through your home,
the busyness now over, the couch now your throne.
The tight fitting clothing is all put away, it's now time for comfort, relaxation and play.
No more planning or baking or wrapping or sweaters,
It's now all called 'me time' and keeps getting better.
The relatives that yesterday, just made you cringe,
Have gone back to their homes, time for a TV Show binge!

With Christmas Day officially over, it's time to really have fun, it's now time to celebrate TwixmasTwixmas is the period between Christmas and New Year's Day, usually from December 26th to December 31st. It's a time to relax and de-stress after the busy holiday season.  The English call it Interscotia, the Norwegian version called Romjul.. In many other parts of the world, it's simply referred to as the festive gap.

For many, it begins with Boxing Day.  In Canada, the U.K. and South Africa, the 26th is a public holiday with stores closed and Boxing Day sales not starting until the 27th.  Even for those who don't have the luxury of extra time off, we can all remember being in school, and being off for the holidays for a couple of long, wonderful weeks.

I wish everyone had Boxing Day, it's nice to have 2 full days off.  Knowing the world wasn't going back to normal on the 26th would make Christmas night even more special.  I know it's about commerce, but really, with online shopping, would their really be less money spent with one extra day off?

At FH, we hark back to those childhood carefree holidays and celebrate Twixmas! It's a theme day of relaxation, a 'text light,' (well lighter) day of posts featuring hot guys taking it easy as they take it off.  Lounging in their lounge wear, their undies and onesies.  One of the best parts about Twixmas is that everyone can celebrate, it's not connected to faith or culture.  If you remember your childhood winter breaks, and need a little down time, try to find a little time for Twixmas!

Christmas Cleanup: Corey by Rob Colgan

One of the worst part of the holidays, is the post Christmas cleanup!   I don't know how my parents did it all when there were four of us under 10 making so many merry messes.  Just the meal clean-up is overwhelming.  Between the dishes and dealing with the leftovers, it can hours without help!

Thankfully, there are some people who thrive on the cleanup.  Organizational minded individuals, who get as much joy in the clean-up, as they did in the preceding event.   You know who I mean, you all have one in your own family.  The person who has the big bag when you're opening presents. You know the one, they're grabbing the wrapping paper, before you've even finished opening, to either fold and save, or stick in the recycling bag.

They also seem to enjoy being the kitchen, before, during and after the big meal.  They organize those leftovers as if they were performing surgery.  The turkey isn't just put in the fridge, it's divided into Tupperware containers, separating dark and white meat.  They scrape the bones, and put them directly into a separate container for tomorrow's soup making.  They already have the turkey themed leftovers planned for days, from a turkey pot pie to turkey tetrazzini.

Corey is one of those compulsive cleaners who knows how to celebrate the cleanup.  Corey starts by wearing some of the sexiest outfits his many admirers left under his tree.  He's also doesn't mind others watching and enjoying him complete his titillating tasks.  He even invited photographer Rob Colgan along to capture his progress.

The last time I featured Rob's images of Corey, he wasn't wearing any festive fashions, he wasn't wearing anything at all. (HERE:)  Given Christmas cleanup can be messing and involve hot water and cleaning chemicals, it's best a to keep a little something on to protect those sensitive areas.  Of course, after everything's properly put away, it's time to slip out of the holiday thong, and into jammies to finally begin to relax.

Value Pack:

'When you stop believing in Santa... You get underwear.'

Truth of the matter is, even when you did believe in the gift giver from the North Pole, you still got underwear.   Underwear was always one the most complicated gifts to open.  Most years, you didn't want it, yet you also knew you needed it.  We'd all rush to the tree on Christmas morning and start tearing open our gifts.

It was easy to spot which gift was underwear by the size and the weight.  Usually, it was tossed aside unopened until your mother reminded you later you had 'one more gift to open.'  Some years, you parents got tricky, and put it in a box, or weighted it down.  Still, most years, those 3 or 5 pair value packed were easy to spot.

No matter what your age, or what decade you grew up in, it was a trick open.  Often, you were surrounded by relatives, and expected to be happy and grateful of every gift.  Heaven forbid you weren't appropriately appreciative of your knew Fruit of the Loom briefs.  There was always an aunt to remind you how lucky you were, and added tales of getting just an orange for Christmas when they were your age.

There was also a trajectory to Christmas underwear opening.  Although it wasn't a huge deal opening your briefs as little kid, as you got older, it became a bit embarrassing opening your new undies in front of grandparents and older relatives.  Usually my older brother would smirk, trying to get me to laugh.  This of course was followed by a wave of disapproving looks from relatives.

Then of course was that awkward period.  The time when you hit about 15 or 16.  This was the time underwear went from something you needed, to something you wanted.  It was now a time where wearing 'cool' underwear was important.  Other guys would see it in locker room, and guys and girls you had crushes on, might see the waist band when you bent over in class.  Sometimes, showing off the waistband was both purposeful, and part of the mating ritual of being a horny Jr. high student.

A year or two later, you started both giving, and receiving underwear from a boy or girlfriend for the fist time.  For me, in high school, it was a girlfriend.   This phase was really one of the only times in life your really look forward to opening underwear at Christmas.  But... and it's a big but, these undie gits were never given or opened with the family.  They were also never put under the tree.  They were given in private gift giving sessions with your significant other.

These undies were kept secret, taken home in a bag and shoved into the back of your underwear drawer.  These undies you loved, you worshipped, and on special occasions, meaning every time you with the person who gave them to you.  Despite being a 'secret gift', somehow your mother always found out.  She knew EVERYTHING that was in your drawers, and always made a point of asking where 'those' came from after she discovered them.  Of course this wasn't asked in private, but usually over the dinner table so your siblings could hear and give you a hard time.

Receiving underwear at Christmas has gotten even more difficult the last few decades.  Although we all knew underwear was erotic, we knew there was a reason we snuck the Sears catalog in our rooms.  It wasn't really however until the 90's, that advertisers really got open about selling underwear with sex. Sure, in some ways it was always connected, but it far more blatant with Calvin Klein, and all those male model and celebrity bulges to draw your eye.

Though I'm not a kid anymore, a great underwear ad, and a hot shot of a guy in undies still gets me going.  Many of us remember getting a little stiff looking at the packages in the underwear section at  our favorite store.  I used to make up excuses to leave whatever adult I was with to take yet another stroll by that isle.  Recently, I discovered a Twitter page, and the images were incredibly hot.   Check out some of my favorites on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Shax Carter: The Union Suit

Atlas

' Full Fashion, fit smooth from neck to ankle, no undershirt to work up, or drawers to work down...'

I've first spotted the imagery of photographer Shax Carter a few years ago, and have enjoyed featuring his work ever since.  As I've previously mentioned, I especially love the 'documentary' style Shax utilizes within his work.  As a filmmaker, Shax know the value of just a moment, but the connection of moments over longer periods of time.

As a result, Shax rarely has just one shoot a model.  Instead, he visually chronicles the same model in different locations over a number of weeks, and sometimes even months. This style of capturing the male form means Shax's shoots are more novel than short story, leading Shax to create books, some with multiple volumes, from his time with induvial models.

Mickey

Shax often shoots at a cabin in the woods.  The cabin has wood walls and floors, and lends itself to both comfortable clothing and relaxation.  Because many of the models are new to nude shoots, Shax generally begins with clothed shots, including one of the most comfortable clothing options, the onesie.  Although not exclusively used at the cabin location, I remembered a few of the models that we featured. were ornamented in onesies.

Given my enthusiasm for noting the 'festive gap', between Christmas and  New Years, I asked Shax about featuring a selection of his images featuring models in onesies.   Shax sent back a selection of images which he titled model wearing a 'union suit.'  It's funny, I'd never heard a onesie called that before.  I can't believe in all the years featuring hotties in onesies, it never came up in my research.

Leo

Searching 'union suit', and entirely new level of sites and images came up, educating me, that union suit is actually the original name for comfy and sexy attire.  Although first created for women in the 1800's, they were first designed only for women.  It wasn't long after though, that men realized their comfort and appeal.

I'm not sure it's exactly a hard truth, it's said the term union suit comes from the fact that the top and bottom of the long underwear were united.  The term union, meaning the combination suit.  Unlike regular long johns and under shirts, a union suit has the top and bottom  combined together, as just one piece of clothing.

One of the last stories Shax shared featured his work with Ricky. (below)  Some of you may remember that Ricky is actually the younger brother of Leo whose images are just above.  When I posted Ricky's story, he was away, working with the armed forces.  He returned however, just before Christmas, more mature, and looking hotter than ever.  His shorter hair really suits him, and you can visually feel the impact of his recent experiences in his facial expressions and confidence.

Ricky

Although his growth is clear, somethings, like natural sibling competition, are harder to let go of.  When Ricky realized Shax had four volumes of books spotlighting his older brother, he was eager to get back in front of the camera, to create new stories, as well as new images, to capture the changes in his life.

So, instead of just featuring previous images from his portfolio, Shax and Ricky got together to create this brand new series to go with the others.  The changes in Ricky are viewable evidence of how visually significant Shax's style of shooting can be.  Shax and Ricky took even more shots, sans the onesie, that hopefully, I'll be sharing soon.
