The Bottom Line...

Kerrying A Torch....

I've been following actor Derek Yates for awhile now.  Starting with days as male model, working with some of the best chroniclers of the male form, though his recent sexy turns on Minx and How I met Your Father.  (see my previous post HERE:)  I also loved and shared shots of Yates from last year's strike, when his shirtless picket line shots went viral.

I'm not currently watching Days Of Our Lives, the writings been bad and I hate how they keep actors they like at the expense of story.  Having so many actors switching roles is lazy.  I know one argument is saving an actor's job, but it actually prevents newer actors ones who having been getting a paycheck, from entering the game.

That being said, I do follow the show on-line, especially one of the male hotties has a hot scene.  Thanks to Daveid at DC, (and his great caps) I noticed Yates appeared as  Kerry on the show, with some sexy, shirtless scenes with Leo. (Greg Rikaart)  I love Rikaart, but he is one of those actors the show, in my opinion, has kept much longer than his character's expiration date. The show is desperately trying to have us like the character, airbrushing over so much of his past deeds.

That aside, Yates brought the heat, and an incredibly hot hairy chest to a series of scenes that I watched thanks to my cable providers on-demand.  I say ditch Leo and keep Kerry, and Yates on the show.  Not only was he gorgeous, in the few brief scenes I watched, his character had a mysterious edge I'd love to tune back in to see more of.

The Bare Minimum

'I have a good sense of my body in a bathing suit around people who appreciate what I'm doing, like a contest.  But on a beach most people are not experts. The general public doesn't know how to look. How proud can you be when they don't even know what they're looking at?'
Arnold Schwarzenegger

No, we're not experts, but we all know what we like, and what we enjoy.  I know I'm not the only who lays on the beach with a good book and sunglasses, barely reading the words, but scanning the bodies and bathing suits around me.  It's part of summer, even those who don't like wearing a bathing suit, enjoying looking at others who do.

Over the years, bathing suits slowly reduced in size, only to to increase again the last few decades.  Of course I think everyone should wear what makes them comfortable, board shorts, a t-shirt or an itsy bitsy teenie weenie.  These are millions of shots out there of people wearing the bare minimum at the beach, these shots are a some of my favorites.
