Eight Days of The Week: Coda

When I began my Eight Days theme last March, I had no idea how long it was going to take me to finish it. I barely finished it before the new shows started airing in September. I did however know the end result was choose my favorite guys from each night of the week which is why used Eight and not Seven Days of the week. So... here we are the conclusion. If I were to do it all again, I already know there are many changes I would make. But... my list is done, so here are my favorites (meaning.. well you know...) from each day of the week from the 2014-2015 television season.

Eight Days Of The Week: Sunday

It took awhile. It was March when I began Eight Days Of The Week with the Monday's Men Of Prime-Time TV. With the EMMY's and new television season just around the corner, it was time to end the week, and the series, with Sunday night. Sunday evening is the time when many of us are taking it easy, gearing up for the week ahead of us. There are few laughs on prime time on Sunday's but serious, period, political and life an death dramas, a way I suppose to divert from life...and from Sunday Night Football.

Allen Leech in Downton Abbey

Branson wasn't initially a favorite of mine on Downton Abbey, I wasn't really sure at first how long he would be sticking around. I think I actually started to like him better after Lady Sybil bit the dust. As a die hard Mary & Matthew fan, I was not happy when it appeared they might put Branson together with Mary but now... I see it as a most satisfying ending for the two characters.

Tim Daly in Madam Secretary

I tried, but failed to get into Madam Secretary but I can't forget that growing up, I lusted after those Hackett brothers on Wings.

Matt Czuchry  in The Good Wife

Matt Czuchry is another actor who was not originally a favorite. I always wanted Rory with Jess and found Matt just a distraction when he showed up on Gilmore Girls. The Good Wife however gave the actor dimension and as Cary, the actor has won me owver.

Omar Epps in Resurrection

I tried to love Resurrection. I love Omar Epps, and the promo's before the pilot's premier were engaging and extremely haunting. Sadly, the show didn't maintain the tone of the commercials and I lost interest (in the show, not Epps) after episode 2.

Ryan Phillippe in Secrets And Lies

Ryan Phillippe was and remains one of the hottest men in Movies and on television. When younger, he could relay on his great looks, butt scenes and James Dean impression to get buy but as he gets older he really needs a good character to shine. He had one on Damages, and he had one on Secrets & Lies. I didn't watch past the first episode, but enough did to ensure the show (without Phillippe) will be back next summer.

Eight Days Of The Week: Saturday

Finishing off the Eight Days series has taken a little longer than I had anticipated. Hopefully I will get to Sunday before the start of the new fall season. Saturday proved a little tricky. Most of the major networks don't air original programming on Saturday nights, a night they assume we either out partying, or in with a good movie. This forced me to take a few liberties with my Saturday choices. Some of the shows that I included, are repeat airings the networks recycle for repeat viewings on the Weekend. Some are shows I first saw on PBS on Saturday with the only really original Saturday night show being Saturday Night Live.

Bret Harrison in The Astronaut Wives Club

I have not watched The Astronauts Wives Club, nor do I think the show will stick around long enough for me to want to. But I loved Bret Harrison on Reaper and the short lived 2011 version of V.

James Norton in Grantchester

James Norton was my first, and the easiest choice for the list. A quick search of my recent posts about James on FH will give you a good idea why.

Jay Pharoah in Saturday Night Live

When it came to SNL, there were a few obvious choices, all equally funny and talented. When push came to shove though the hottest to me by far is Pharoah.

Pharoah with Taran Killam, Bobby Moynihan and host Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Eric Christian Olsen in NCIS: Los Angeles

I have never seen a minute of any of any of the NCIS shows, unless it being on a constant loop in the background at my parents counts. However, I am not immune to the cuteness and charm, not to mention the beautiful behind of Eric Christian Olsen.

Aidan Turner in Poldark

Now Poldark I want to see. I have not yet watched, but am hoping to catch up one of these days. The deliciously furry Aidan Turner is more than enough inspiration to give it a shot!

Eight Days Of The Week: Friday

Friday proved the most difficult night so far. I don't tend to watch much television on Friday nights so the pickings were slim. Since beginning Eight Days, the networks had their up fronts and many of the shows I chose from have been cancelled. I am still including shows from the 2014/2015 schedule so even though Heart Of Dixie and Glee are now off the schedule, their actors are still included. So, without further adieu, here are my favorite hunks from Friday's Prime Time line-up!

David Muir: 20/20

I have not watched 20/20 in years. When I was younger, it was a staple for my family on Friday nights. Maybe it was Barbara Walters over load, or maybe it was that news magazines have been so sensationalized they have become pretty much unwatchable. David Muir could lure me back however, with his perfect cheek bones, maybe too perfect, and great smile. Television news seems to always push one hunk at a time and currently, it is Muir wearing the crown.

Wilson Bethel in Heart Of Dixie

I love me some Wilson Bethel and have posted about him several times before on FH. That being said, I have yet to catch a second of Heart Of Dixie. The show was recently cancelled, so might be a future Netflix pic. I first saw Bethel years ago on Y & R and was instantly in lust. Sadly, the soap didn't see what they had and sadly wasted him, but prime time quickly scooped him up.

David Giuntoli in Grimm

Grimm is another show I have not watched a second of but whenever I see David Giuntoli in the promos I give pause to adding it to my DVR. Giuntoli has a presence though, an attractive, welcoming yet safe presence, much like Mark Harmon and Richard Dean Anderson. I think he will be a part of many televisions shows to come in the future.

Chord Overstreet in Glee

If FH had regulars, Chord Overstreet would be near the top of the list. I have covered the Glee actor more times than I can count. Incredibly hot, incredibly appealing, Chord was one of the few bright spots in Glee's declining last couple of years. I did record and watch the Glee series finale, but still have the rest of it's last season hanging stubbornly on my DVR. Maybe I will watch them over the summer, maybe they will get deleted unwatched. Either way, despite it's downward turn, Glee, it's first two and half seasons, had a powerful impact on me with many great moments and memories.

Scott Caan in Hawaii Five-0

Again, not seen a second of Hawaii Five-0, but man have I lusted after Scott Caan. One of the best butts in the business and such sexual energy and appeal. I am not sure how much they utilize it on Hawaii, but in some of his movie roles it is quite powerful.

Dat ass... Varsity Blues (1999)
