Sex in Cinema: 30 Years Ago....

When I started to put together my 'skin baring' posts featuring this years 🎥 Oscar nominee's, I realized that I actually had seen only one of the films nominated.  I thought of a year I headed to the movies almost every single weekend, and that year was 1991.

Head on over to PAGE 3 to  check out my look back to my most memorable scenes of male nudity from thirty years ago.  Check out the two parts HERE: & HERE:

Headliner

-Paul Newman-
10 Oscar Nominations
9 for Acting
1 for Producing Rachel, Rachel (1969)
3 Oscar Wins
1 for Best Actor:  The Color Of Money (1987)
1 Academy Honorary Award (1986)
1 Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award (1994)

The Prize (1963)

1963's The Prize didn't win Newman, or the film, any awards, but it did have some outtakes of Newman in his-tighty whities.  Newman didn't actually appear on screen in his undies, the images appear either from rehearsal, promotional shots, or the scene was edited from the original film.

Check out all of my Oscar coverage, or un-coverage, when I strip down this year's nominee's. Check out the nominee's on the NEXT PAGE HERE:.  Also, check out my look back at male skin on screen from 1991 HERE:

A Most Challenging Role...

Gay for Pay?

If you're a male performer whether an Oscar nominated actor, appear an adult films, or create content for your  OnlyFans, you have a decision to make.  Will you play gay, (or bi) for an important role, or to fulfill the desires of your viewers.  That exactly what models Kings and Dom explored in their recent work with Jim from Studio1x.   Check out how far it went on PAGE 3 HERE:

'The Oscars are about the dynamics of that moment, of that season. It reflects what's been going on in the world every year through the movies. And a lot of times, what's popular at the movies is popular because of what's going on in the world at that moment. '
Bruce Vilanch

I've been doing Academy Award themed posts on FH for over a decade now.  In the past, they've usually consisted of my looking for scenes of male skin from the male nominee's.  Although I did this again, (on the next page) this year seemed do demand I do something a little different...

With the pandemic dominating 2020, no one was going to the movies.  This is the first year ever, I didn't see any of the nominated films or performances in a theatre.  In fact, with the exception of  Promising Young Woman, I haven't seen any film, or any of the nominated performances.  When the pandemic began last year, and many people on lockdown, so many of us turned to entertainment as a diversion.  I know I certainly did, and dove in and binged television shows and documentaries that I most likely would not have if not for lockdown.

I didn't however, dive into movies.  I was looking for mindless entertainment, things that made me smile or laugh.  I found it difficult to commit to a two hour movie, especially a serious drama.  Sure I watched the odd film, but it was usually a old Hitchcock film that I'd seen before, or something mindless I didn't have to concentrate or focus too much energy on.

I also remember searching for a few new releases on my On Demand.  I remember at one point wanting to watch The Hunt.  I checked it out and found it cost twenty bucks to watch.  Although I understood it was a 'theatrical release' without a theatre to release it, but I resisted paying twenty bucks for an on demand movie.  I have too many memories of renting movies from Blockbuster, only to either not have time to watch them, or having started them, only to turn them off from a lack of interest after watching only a few minutes.

Given I'd seen so little that came out this year, I went into this years Oscar themed posts with almost little to no interest.  I wasn't interested in the movies, and most likely won't even watch the ceremonies this year.  But... for some odd reason, this intensified my desire to something a little special this year.  My Oscar themed posts don't just stem from my love of the movies, but my memories of the excitement I felt every Oscar weekend.  I remember as a kid how the anticipation would grow as the Oscars approached.  Many years back then, I also didn't see any, or much of the nominated films.  It's didn't diminish my love of the show.

I used to bug my parents to stay up late to watch, it was always on a Sunday night and they argued that it was a school night.  They usually gave in.  I loved the glamour of the show, Billy Crystal's opening songs, seeing who was presenting, and especially the big production numbers of the nominated songs.  I was never really into the red carpet or the fashion, for me it was all about the magic of the movies.  Hollywood seemed so far away, and the Oscars were my connection to a world, and a life, I could only fantasize about.

So, in addition to my usual undressing of the nominee's, I decided to reach out to Jim from Studio1x to see if he might have anything in his archives that was even remotely 'Oscar' related.  I didn't really want to ask about asking about a new shoot, as it was already well into April, and the Oscars were just a few weeks away.  Thankfully Jim had some ideas!  Not only did he suggest the shoot with Dom and Kings, he had another shoot lined up, this time with Alex and Kince.  He thought they'd be perfect for an Oscar themed shoot, and was sure they'd be up for including it in there already scheduled shoot.

Jim was right!  I love the 'Old Hollywood' feel to the shoot, and how they morphed into their roles of Oscar nominated Producer and Director.  Jim shares that their energy was amazing, and you can feel their enthusiasm and fun in this series of images.  Alex and Kince had only just met for the first time for the shoot, but you can see how they connected and worked off one another so creatively during the shoot.  Jim works with a lot of couples, and loves when models connect, get into the theme, and let loose like Alex and Kince did during their Academy Award themed shoot.
