Seasonal Sightings:

A Body to Die For

The owner of a new, hot fitness club in Cabot Cove has secrets that lead to murder.

Some of you may remember my posts from last year about Murder She Wrote.  I found the show on one of my cable channels, and have been catching episodes now and then.  The network is currently showing season seven, which means we just went through the period where Jessica, (Angela Lansbury) only made cameo's in a slew of episodes.  I've been skipping those, Lansbury is the draw.

I recently watched, A Body To Die For, the sixth episode of the seventh season.  The episode features hot gym owner Wayne Bennett, who charms and flirts his way through most of his horny older female clients.  I recognized the actor who played Wayne, both his handsome face, and his body to die for.

I had to head to IMDB to confirm that Wayne was played by actor Jason Beghe who has been a fixture on television and in film since the mid-eighties.  I first saw Jason, and his great physique, on VHS when I was a kid.  I didn't really remember the plotline, but I do remember Jason on the floor exercising nude in 1988's Monkey Shines.  Check out more of Jason, and his on-screen nudity on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Barry Keoghan: Beforehand...

'It totally felt right. It’s ownership. This is my place. It’s full confidence in, ‘I can do what I want in this manor. I can strip to my barest and waltz around because this is mine.’ Yeah... it was fun.'

Some of you might remember, that when I put together my Sex in Cinema 2022 feature, (HERE:) I only briefly mentioned Saltburn.  I'd stayed up late the previous night to watch, but fell asleep half-way through, therefore not getting to actor Barry Keoghan's hottest scenes, including his naked dance through the end.  I started to put together a follow-up focused on the scene, but then put the piece on the hold.  By then, the scene and the dance was already all over the net, and didn't just want to jump on the bandwagon.

That being said, the scene was groundbreaking.  Male nudity in main stream movies actually seems to have decreased over the last decade, so Barry's nude scenes were actually rather rare.  Although there is still a fair amount of male nudity in independent films, the days of almost every movie actor having the prerequisite butt scene seems sadly to have passed.

Many still flash a little flesh on cable TV but it's seems more likely you're seeing a prosthetic, or computer generated male body part, than the actual body part of an actor himself.  Barry let us know that in Saltburn, everything we were seeing was boldly Barry.  Apparently, Barry even filled his naked dance 11 times to ensure it was right.

'I was like, ‘Let’s go again. Let’s go again.’ You kind of forget, because there’s such a comfortable environment created, and it gives you that license to go, ‘All right, this is about the story now.'

Instead however, of posting more of images or videos of the actor's Saltburn dance, I decided to go beforehand, to the first time I'd seen Barry's beautiful body on-screen.   If you haven't seen 2016's Mammal, I highly recommend you try to find a way to watch.

The film is not only beautifully haunting, you also get another view of the full Barry.  No, not a dance, but he does expose himself both physically, and emotionally, in a move and a performance that stayed with me much longer than his turn in Saltburn.  You can check out images and a video from the film on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Tanner Travels: Capturing The Moment

'Travel naked my friends!'

Back in December, I profiled Skatercakes, (A Long Winter's Night) about his self portraits and his experiences with nude hiking. (freehiking)  Although I used mostly images of Skatercakes, (Julian) inside, for the winter theme, I first discovered his work due to the many glorious shots of him hiking fully naked in the great outdoors.  In that piece, Julian mentioned that although he often venture out to hike alone, he loves joining his fellow freehiker, Tanner Travels whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Since I enjoyed Julian's shots of he and Tanner together, I had to check out more on his Utah based bare buddy, and follow him on social media.  I quickly began watching video after video and was instantly besotted by Tanner's beautiful behind.  I loved following his adventures, and joining him virtually in the many locations and places that he takes his hikes.  Initially I planned to focus on Tanner's winter walks, but there were just too many great shots to focus on just one of the four seasons.

'I think the biggest thing that sparked my interest in getting nude for the first time in nature was just how beautiful the landscapes that I was traveling to work, and I wanted to put a touch of freedom and my own little twist to how beautiful this world is there are so many beautiful places And to be naked and free in those places even makes it more magical just to capture that moment.'

Tanner shares that he shoots about 95% himself, using a tripod to capture the location and shot he wants.  Although he certainly relies on a little help from his friends if they're with him, most of what you're seeing and enjoying, Tanner shot himself. Although he lives in shoots primarily near where he lives in Utah, his favorite place to hike requires Tanner to travel a little further from home.

'My favorite hike is probably both in Oahu Hawaii, and also Hawaii in Hawaii just some of the most beautiful landscapes Kauai Hawaii.'

These are just a few of my favorite shots from Tanner's Instagram and Twitter pages, but if you visit and follow, you'll also be treated to many stunning videos.  When I asked Tanner about the response to posting these images and videos on-line, the comments and compliments had a well shaped focus.

'Some of the best compliments are on my bum. That’s where another nudge of me posting more comes into play, because I do get people asking for more fun shots.'
