The Bottom Line

This past July I profiled Seamus and his work with photographer Trey Fox. (Unexpected Hardness) If you're a ginger lover, you might want to follow Seamus on Twitter to enjoy more images like this one!

Favorite Face Of The Day: David Lambert in The Lifeguard

Although I didn't necessarily plan it, Lifeguards sort of became a theme for my summer movie viewing. It began in July when I attended a screening of Staten Island Summer, resulting in a piece featuring actor John DeLuca. This was followed in August with my watching 1976's Lifeguard for a story in my Last Gasp Of Summer themed series. The trilogy concluded with my watching 2013's The Lifeguard last weekend.

Writer and director Liz W. Garcia's The Lifeguard features Kristen Bell and Mamie Gummer in a flick that although arguably weaker than the other two flicks, I think was my favorite. There are many movies about men who struggle to grow up, but very few use the theme on women. Bell plays a struggling New York reporter who quits her job and moves, along with her cat, back into her childhood home in Connecticut.

Living back at home isn't all that's cracked up to be. In addition to her mom not exactly wanting her there, returning to her old life isn't as simple as she though. Bell's character Leigh gets a job as a lifeguard at a local pool and it's there she meets the much younger Little Jason, the son of her new boss. Little Jason is played by 22 year old David Lambert, an actor many might be familiar with from The Fosters.

It is not hard to understand why Leigh would be attracted to Little Jason. Although in some ways he struggling to grow up as well, in other ways he much more grounded and mature than she is. I hadn't seen Lambert on screen before, but he is incredibly talented and that face and his lips and those eyes drew me right in. I have yet to watch The Fosters, but there have been so many signs, including being introduced to Mr Lambert, that tell me I need to give it a shot.

Grey Area: Felix by studioAtruong

'Felix is handsome, modest, kind, intelligent, articulate - someone you would want to be your friend. I have a tremendous of respect for him.'

Profiling the work of Alain from studioAtruong can sometimes be a daunting experience. Alain's images are always strong and erotic but Alain doesn't just stop here. The San Francisco artist always seems to find the perfect way, whether it be location, fashion or theme, to showcase both the physical and sexual strengths of his models, but their internal confidence and power as well.

28 year Felix obviously has a commanding presence in front of the lens. His 6' 2", 200lb frame is strong and beautifully beefy and Alain surrounds him with props, and chose a location that matches his impressive physique. Felix is more just a body though, he has great hair, and a sexy face highlighted by his great lips and those incredible grey eyes.

It is thought those with grey eyes are born to be dominant and leaders. Strong in nature, yet wise and gentle. These attributes certainly seem to fit Felix, a successful European model and actor who left his native Poland to find success in the US. Although he obtained his law degree, and practiced law for a while, Felix has since given up his legal pursuits to follow his passion for modeling and acting.

Although Alain shot Felix in a number of ways to best show off his striking physique, some of my favorite images are Alain's shots, at the bottom of the pice, with Felix laying across the island in the kitchen. There is something particularly hot, not to mention incredibly vulnerable, about someone being splayed, completely naked across an island.

Usually when a piece of prime-cut meat is spread out on an island, there is someone standing above it with a large sharp knife. Felix beautifully takes back control however, creating magnificent poses across that particular piece of kitchen wood.
