George: The Final Touches
Decorating the tree is one of those things we tend to forget can be a challenging and frustrating task. Anyone who's put up a real tree knows how hard it is to get in the house, in the stand, and to stand up straight. The mess of needles alone makes it less a fun activity, and more a lot of hard work.
Even with an artificial tree, there can be issues, usually with the lights. I also especially hate that needed task of fluffing out all of the branches that were squeezed together when it was put in the box the previous year. But... when the lights are on and the ornaments are hung and those final touches are completed, there's a sense of seasonal satisfaction knowing that the tree is up, and you won't have to do it again for another 12 months.
There's also the joy in knowing you'll be enjoying the tree and the lights for the next couple of week, or in some cases.. months. Over the last few December's, I shared a few holiday themed shoots from photographer and nude model George. You've seen his work behind and in front of the camera under the heading of both Photography By George, and Naked Ambition.
Given George and his work has been apart of many FH holidays, I had to get in touch to see if he'd shot, or posed for any new shoots this season. George didn't have any new shoots, but a few selfies from his recently day of decorating and tree trimming. I've never decorated my tree totally naked, I usually do it at night, in front of a big open window. Not sure if George has neighbours close to those big patio doors behind him, but if he does, fa la la la la, la la, la la!
J.B. Smoove: Scene Stealer

I love The Great British Baking Show. I look forward to it's premiere ever year. It was a bright spot during the beginning of the pandemic, and I binged most of the earlier seasons. That being said, I've yet to find an American baking show anywhere near as interesting. I think the American versions miss one of the key components of British show is comfort, something many get from baking, but not from flashy and wel- lit knock offs of the original.
I did however, watch the holiday edition of the US based Baking It. I only expected to watch a few minutes, thinking I might enjoy the opening with the always hilarious Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph. The two gifted comedians didn't go for comedy however, they went for folksy. Not exactly comfort, but in the ball park. I really didn't get into the show, but I did get into J.B Smoove, one of the four celebrity guests.
I find Smoove incredibly hot, mostly because he's so damned talented and funny. Smoove elevates every scene and every show he's in, even some really bad ones. I always intend to start, but have yet to try Curb Your Enthusiasm, but first caught Smoove on the short-lived CBS comedy The Millers. It wasn't a great show, it was actually a bad show, but Smoove was hilarious and was the bright spot in otherwise lack luster half-hour sit-com.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
I've watched Smoove elevate many shows with his talent and ability to steal a scene from almost any actor. I've seen him do it in movies and on television shows like Baking It, The Millers and the really really lame sit-come, 'Til Death. I think part of Smoove's ability to steal so many scenes is his experience as a comedy writer.
Life In Pieces
Smoove knows the comedy core of every scene and bit. Smoove wrote for Saturday Night Live from 2003-2007, writing with Seth Myers for not only Poehler and Rudolph, but also many of my other favorites from the time including; Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader ane Kristen Wiig. I look forward to whenever I his name in the credits and always know, no matter how bad the project, Smoove will elevate every scene he appears in.

I don't think Smoove has done any on-screen nudity, but he has been shirtless on a number of his appearances on television.

One of the best things about Christmas is the childlike holiday spirit that runs through our bodies. For me, that little bit of magic is especially palpable in the days leading up to the big day. The sense of excitement and anticipation isn't a feeling get get to experience very often, it's usually reserved for big events and special occasions.
I still remember those last few days of school before Christmas vacation. Teachers know, and often dread, this level of joyful anticipation, especially with 32 students, confined to a classroom I think many of us burst out of those school doors on that last day, running out into schoolyard, totally obvious to how cold it was outside.
We ran, we jumped, we skipped all the way home. Our energy, fueled by seasonal sensations, and the prospect of forthcoming gifts, and all the fun we hoped to have over the holiday break. As adults, It's rare as adults to experience this level of enthusiastic jubilation, we've all been knocked down too many times to pull a full skip without a hint of trepidation.
We try though, especially around the holidays, to harken back to those December days we experienced as kids. Even if we can't fully feel those magical moments, we know, and can relate to them when we see them. Whether it's in the eyes of a child that we know, or while watching a sappy holiday movie, even if we don't fully feel it ourselves, we remember...
Those December days of skipping home were certainly evoked by this series of shots from Richard Rothstein. Bad Santa Brian leaps like no one is watching. As beautiful as Brian's body is, I found myself completely focused on his face. I loved the holiday spirit expressed and the complete joy as he jumps off the rock and leaps into the air.
