Blast from the Past: Robert Foxworth in Mrs. Sundance
The girlfriend of the Sundance Kid is on the run with a price on her head, when she hears rumors that the Sundance Kid may still be alive.
I didn't watch much Falcon Crest when it first aired. I was a little too young, and my parents usually sent me to bed on Friday nights as soon as Dallas was coming on. I did however, catch a few shows on Soapnet, and scene on Youtube, usually to enjoy a little shirtless Lorenzo Lamas and William R. Moses.

I was also familiar with actor Robert Foxworth, whose beard and rugged good looks made him a hot daddy, even when I was just a kid. I wasn't aware however, that Foxworth had done a couple of nude scenes, that was until recently.
There's a great thread on DreamCap, where members are sharing the first time they saw a nude scene with a male actor. It's interesting seeing what scenes, and what actors, made impressions on people depending on what decade they saw it. One of the posters, KC, mentioned seeing Robert Foxworth and a nude scene in 1974's Mrs. Sundance, and of course, I had to check it out.
The 1974 ABC TV movie featured Foxworth and actress Elizabeth Montgomery. Most know Elizabeth from Bewitched, but she also did a lot of dramatic roles before and after the sit-com. She and Foxworth also married, but it was almost 20 years after Mrs. Sundance was made.
Since the film was a TV movie, I was surprised to see a nude scene, but maybe it was more common at the time, or maybe it was just on the VHS release, I'll have to a little more investigation. Frozen & Afraid
Over the last few years I've been watching less and less cable news. It's anxiety provoking, and truly not healthy. That being said, because I work from home a couple of days a week, I often have a music or news channel on as background as I work. Even that however, changed recently.
After the last Presential debate, cable news went from insufferable, to dangerous and I not only stopped watching, I called my cable provider had them removed. That meant, I also lost a few other channels I used as background during the days I was at home. I share all this, because it was that decision, that led my introduction to Dave.
Although clearly a fan of the nude male form, I've never watched much Naked and Afraid. I don't think until last week, that I ever watched any really. Maybe a clip or two, a minute here in there, but the concept never really appealed to me. In addition, if I'm watching a show rooted in nudity, I want a little nudity, ad Naked and Afraid goes overboard with it's annoying pixilation. I don't expect frontals for sure, but so many of the rear shots are pixilated, even when it doesn't need to be.
Last week, after downgrading my cable services, and getting rid of many channels, I realized some of the other channels I used as background had disappeared as well. That left only a few options for background sound. The comedy channel wouldn't do, I'd pay to much attention, either would any show really that had me watching more than listening. I did find two channels however, that work well. A local channel that plays old Hallmark movies, and a Discovery channel that plays marathons of Naked and Afraid.
I didn't know the show also did some 'frozen' and afraid episodes and I turned to find the incredibly hot Wild Man Dave walking naked in the woods and in the snow. Because of the sub freezing temperatures, Dave's partners didn't last long. That meant there were long scenes of just Dave gathering wood, fishing and working on his shelter. Despite the blurring, I became mesmerized watching Dave work his way through his time in the frozen forest.
The show certainly put Dave through the ringer, with the location, the elements and spending so much time by himself. Ultimately, Dave had to be taken out early due to eating some poison raw mushrooms. Despite how things ended, Dave proved himself to be incredibly impressive in his beauty, and his physical toughness.
As much as I enjoyed watching Dave work his way through the shows challenges, when I visited his Instagram page, I got the feeling we wouldn't be that compatible. It wasn't just that Dave is straight, I think from his images, we might differ on many things. That being said, there was something hot about The Good Fight's Diane Lockhart and Kurt McVeigh. I can handle differences, even political differences, as long as they're not orange and hateful related.
I'm not sure I'll watch more of the reality show, but I did enjoy my time watching Dave. I didn't get a lot of work done, but the diversion was definitely worth it. If anyone wants to check out the episode, it's title is 'Snow Daze' and it's episode 17 from season 11.

Some you might recognize Allen from his appearance on the site last year. In that piece, (The Banned and the Beautiful) I shared that Allen had been banned from Model Mayhem, without explanation, and discussed the struggles nude models have with modeling and social media sites to have their work viewed and shared.
Allen sent on a large folder of images, the first half being his final series of shots. As always however, I was more drawn to the behind the scenes, and process shots that Allen included at the end. These are all from that section, the 'making of' portion of the self-portrait shoot that Allen created.
I've shared before that process shots are often some of my favorites. That doesn't take away from my love of final images, but I've always been drawn to story, and how art and images come together. Even back when I was in school, it was always the process more than the finished product that I enjoyed.
I played hockey, basketball and baseball, and always enjoyed the practices more than the games. I was in plays and musicals through high school, University and after and always loved the rehearsal process way more than the actual performances. I loved the process of creating more than the pressure of a big game or a nerve racking opening night.
I'm not sure what that says about me, but even with FH, some of my favorite moments are during the process piece. Finding new models and artists to profile, researching an actor or project. Thinking of creative ways of putting together a feature or story rather than being pleased or satisfied with the final version on the site.
Not to mention the fact that some of these 'process' shots of Allen are incredibly hot. Since they're self-portraits, Allen had to set up shots and angles, then move back and forth between posing, then going behind the camera to ensure the shot was right. Sometimes it took several tries to make sure everything was set up exactly how it should be.
These behind the scene shots also show Allen trying out various poses and fashions. The lime green thong that Allen erotically slides in and out of, didn't even make the final cut in the completed images Allen sent on. I think you'll agree, the lime green thong shots needed to be included!
In addition, although Allen is aware that his camera is clicking away, many of these hot moments were never really meant to be seen. I'm glad Allen supported my using the process piece, and supporting my choosing some of my favorites for the piece. Now, I wouldn't do a process piece without also sharing the final shots.
