Colman Domingo in North Star

'A rural rancher and his ailing husband, struggling against poverty and isolation, make a heartbreaking decision in order to preserve the dignity of their marriage.'

Although actor Colman Domingo has been acting professionally since 1995, I'm a little embarrassed to say that I never really knew much about his work and career until this past year.  In addition to his Oscar nomination for Rustin, Domingo also played Mister in the recent re-make of The Color Purple.

When researching the actor for my Oscar posts, I learned the openly gay and married Domingo has also had a few gay roles and nude scenes in his career.  One of the most notable was the 2022 short film, North Star.  It was also great to see Domingo's co-star was Malcolm Gets, an actor many of were introduced to on the sit-com Caroline and the City.

I've been searching, but thus far haven't been able to find a copy of North Star to stream or watch.  I'll keep looking, but thanks to ausCAPS, you can get a taste of the film, as well as the stunning Domingo.

Cillian Murphy in 28 Days Later

'Four weeks after a mysterious, incurable virus spreads throughout the UK, a handful of survivors try to find sanctuary.'

Cillian Murphy began acting professionally in the late nineties, but it as the 2002 drama, 28 Days Later, that really brought the Irish actor international attention.   Although he's worked steadily since, except for his role as the Scarecrow in the Batman series, he slid under the radar for much of the 2000's and 2010's.

In the last few years, Murphy has again been in the spotlight for his role in the series Peaky Blinders, through Dunkirk, A Quiet Place: Part II and of course his Oscar nominated role as J. Robert Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer.

Robert Downey in Restoration

'The exiled royal doctor to King Charles II devotes himself to helping Londoners suffering from the plague, and in the process falls in love with an equally poor woman.'

I've never seen 1996's Restoration, but it does have a great cast, and  I do love a man in a royal wig, especially when they're naked except for a few feathers on their crotch.  Not sure why I've avoided the film for so long, but might be time to check it out.

Mark Ruffalo in The Kids Are All Right

'Two children conceived by artificial insemination bring their biological father into their non-traditional family life.'

Actor Mark Ruffalo is no stranger to showing a little skin on-screen.  He went full front for In The Cut, (HERE:) and I featured his tighty whitie dance from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, earlier this year. (HERE:)  Although we've seen Ruffalo's rump in a number of films, one of my favorite views is from 2010's The Kids Are All Right.  We not only get several great views, I especially love seen Mark's moon from the side, such luscious round curves!
