If you caught this week's Abbott Elementary, I'm guessing you took notice of O'Shon, the computer tech who comes to Abbott to install district programs on the new computers. Like Jacob, Barbara and eventually Ava, I too had an instant crush on the hot techie.
The ABC sit-com has been casting quite a few hotties in supporting roles over the last couple of seasons, and O'Shon is certainly one of the hottest. Actor Matthew Law plays O'Shon and will be recurring on the show this season. Although O'Shon wasn't wasn't one of the furry friends Janine acquired for each classroom, but he certainly was worthy of a few scratches and cuddles
Law has been acting professionally for the last decade with roles on shows including: NCIS: Los Angeles, Home Economics and Agents of the S.H.I.E.L.D.. Law is also a regular on Tyler Perry's The Oval. You may also have spotted Law in the Jennifer Lopez video: Can't Get Enough.

Horror Hunks: Hugo Diego Garcia in The Substance
If you follow the instructions, what could go wrong?
I saw The Substance last week, and was really impressed with how horrifically original it was. I'd seen Demi Moore discussing the film on The Graham Norton Show recently, but was still surprised with how gory and bloody it was. The gore wasn't due to a serial killer, it was more self-inflicted, but it was magnificently messy none the less.
If you haven't seen the film yet, and want to be surprised, don't go to the films IMDB page. I went in preparation for this post and was surprised how much they gave away through the many images that were posted. The Substance introduces us to Elisabeth Sparkle, a fading celebrity who only seems to be able get work hawking exercise videos,
After Elisabeth hears Harvey, the company's owner, planning to replace her with a younger model, she takes a black-market drug, a cell-replicating substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself. What could go wrong. Ray Liotta was originally cast in the role of Harvey, but replaced by Dennis Quaid after Liotta's death. Although Quaid bugs the shit out of me these days, he was disgustingly good in the role.
Although the gross out scenes were memorable, I thought the most haunting scene was actually the opening. The passing of time over Elisabeth's sidewalk star was incredibly haunting, and really set the tone for what was to come.
The film also introduced me the French and Spanish actor and director Hugo Diego Garcia. Garcia doesn't have a big role, but he is apart of a memorable sequence in the back half of the film. He also gives us a peak of his hot and hairy heinie when he talks to Elisabeth on the other side of the bathroom door. Garcia's been acting professionally since 2018, and some may recognize him from his recent turn on the Hulu series, Death and Other Details.

'Things that go bump in the night...'
I started the spooky season this week with a story focused on the number of violent crimes which occur in Hotels. Most people believe that most hotel crimes involve theft, but research indicates it's assault and battery, abuse, and harassment that causes most of the calls to 911. Hotels aside, the number one location of most violent crimes is the place we spend most of our time, in our own homes.
Those crimes are unfortunately usually not related to the supernatural. We could only wish that those bumps in the night were just ghosts or spirits in a state of unrest. They're usually something or someone fair more terrifying. I think we all had those nights as kids, even with our family members just a few doors away. Those night you wake up terrified and are positive there's something under your bed or lurking in your closet.
Sometimes we're brave enough to look for ourselves, but usually we scream for a parent to check for monsters. I remember vividly shoving boxes and toys under my bed during the daytime hours, ensuring there was no room left for a demon to lie in wait. Although I felt I could secure the space beneath the bed, there was little I could do to protect myself from the bedroom closet...
I could write for days about being trapped in a metaphorical closed, I felt trapped in one until my early 20's. This post however, is about a real closet, the one Nic is stuffed, tied and bound in. When I saw a shot of Nic posted by photographer Mark E Hersh, my attention was instantly grabbed. Mark's work always strikes a erotically powerful punch, and the image of Nic in the closet concept definitely did. So much so, the image quickly disappeared after the image caused a little too much stimulation for censors on Instagram.
If you've check out Mark's social media pages, or my previous posts featuring his work, (HERE:) you know his visuals are always boundary pushing, often with a sensual and proactive edge. With this series, the visuals tell the story. Picture it, Nic's home alone and is struggling with sleep. Restless and aroused, he hears something, and decides to get up and investigate. After surveying his living space, he relaxes and heads to the kitchen for a drink. Unfortunately for Nic, he overlooked his closet door, and before he knew it, was dragged into the closet, tied, bound and stripped.
Mark had been thinking about the closet concept for awhile, and was just waiting to explore the concept with the right model, One up for a particularly risky creative challenge. When Nik shared during his shoot that he was 'down for anything', Mark knew he had just the right creative collaborator to bring his vision to life. Although Mark started the story, it's up to the viewer to write the end. Was Nic surprised by a boyfriend or lover, or, was it something far more sinister...
