Dannyb: The Kindness of Strangers

'I used to post pics of naked strangers and now I post naked pics of myself to strangers.'

We often talk about how cruel the Internet can be.  Antonymous trolls posting mean, sexist, racist and homophobic comments on-line.  There is another side to relationships with cyber-strangers however, one that doesn't get nearly as much attention. For many, the experience is much more positive. one which offers support and even validation.

I've featured many models and many men who post nudes on-line who share that it was the response of strangers which motivated them to continue.  Many struggled with how they viewed themselves, often especially their bodies.  With so many 'perfect' bodies shared virtually everyday, and despite how great they look, there's still often some idiot waiting and ready to slam them.  It's a wonder anyone would take the risk and put themselves out there, but people still do, many greeted with welcoming and affirming responses.

I first noticed Danny (dannyb__xxoo) on Instagram and was immediately drawn to his self portraits and images.  Danny's face, with his beautiful eyes and welcoming smile, were instantly engaging.  His friendly face was both adorable and mischievous at the same time, and his body only completed an incredibly sexy package.

Earlier this week, Danny posted a side nude, (3 pics up) that really caught my eye!  FH viewers know how much I love a side view, showing the beautiful lines and curves of the male form.  It was only then, that I noticed that Danny had a link to a Twitter page, that I quickly clicked on hoping to see more.  Danny didn't disappoint.  Although he didn't start out planning on posting nudes and self-shots on his social media pages, the kindness of strangers proved a motivating factor.

Did you initially plan to post nude selfies when you started your Twitter and social media page?

Definitely not!  I started a "porn Twitter" after Tumblr tumbled, because I just wanted a quick, curated place for stuff that turned me on. I was married for a long time to someone who was pretty insecure and didn't like when I posted a shirtless photo, so nudes were out of the question--even skinny dipping with friends would yield a fight. So when I left that marriage, part of this exploration was re-gaining some agency and autonomy over my own body and sexuality and how I wanted to express that.

Were you nervous about the reaction?

I wish I could say I don't care about the reaction, but that isn't quite true--I have my own insecurities and find that people's positive reaction to my body feels good. So, naturally, I get a bit anxious about how people might react and respond, but that's become less true over time, and I mostly just do it because it feels fun and interesting, and is helping me find peace with my own body.

Have you ever had someone you didn't want to see (partner/family member co-worker) see one of your posted nudes?

I'm grateful to have a new boyfriend who's excited about this exploration and even takes a number of pictures of me for the purposes of sharing on these accounts. As for others, I think I understand that it can happen, and a few friends have referenced knowing that these accounts exist, but it's all still more "hypothetical" right now. Maybe I'll care more when the reality hits closer to home lol.

Danny by Jaco Moretti

Have you done any modeling for other?
I did my first actual "photoshoot" with Jaco Moretti which was a nude, poolside photoshoot in Palm Springs in the dead of winter lol. He was great, it was really fun. Would like to do it again!

What's been the best feedback you've received?
I just never saw myself as sexy, and having that response from others is feels really...validating.

What part of your body gets the most attention?
My butt, but maybe that's just because that's what I post most?

Have you weighed the pro's and cons of a possible Onlyfans? .

I have--what holds me back is how interested people would even be to pay for something like that, I feel like I'd need to "justify" it financially to put that much out there, or to put forth the effort to manage that kind of account.

Pre-Prosthetic: Jean-Hugues Anglade in Betty Blue

'A lackadaisical handyman and aspiring novelist tries to support his younger girlfriend as she slowly succumbs to madness.'

Thanks again to the posters at DC, I was recently introduced to French actor Jean-Hugues Anglade  and his role as Zorg in the 1986 French film 37°2 Degrees in the Morning. (Betty Blue)  It's always nice when a film I check out for the male nudity is also a compelling drama.  I wasn't sure how much of the film I was going to watch but thanks to the story, and the incredible cast, I was fully engrossed within minutes.

And.. speaking of nude scenes, the ultra-sexy French actor, film director and screenwriter is naked in several scenes throughout the film.  His longest nude scene, almost two minutes near the end of the film, is a full frontal scene while his character Zorg is on the phone.

Unlike so many films and television shows today, there are no prosthetics, or camera tricks to hide the actor's penis.  I never really minded prosthetics when used in light weight films for the purpose of comedy.  Will Farrell's penis and balls in Step-Brothers was a good example.  The scene was not meant to be sexy, but a comedic bit, and a  prosthetic seemed more than appropriate.

In drama's however, where we're supposed to believe and feel for the characters, prosthetic penis's often distract more than adding to the scene.  In most cases, I'd rather them leave out the nudity if it's not the actor in question.  I can't imagine this scene in Betty Blue with camera trick or a prosthetic.  Zorg has just been through an emotional ringer, and the nudity is used to heighten reality of his situation.  Kudos to Jean-Hugues and director Jean-Jacques Beineix for not trying to tease or trick the audience with the scene.

From IMDB
Sensual, ambiguous, ultra sensitive French performer Jean-Hugues Anglade always had a reputation of intense and passionate actor. Any role, any language, Anglade seems to be able to do anything. From appearing integrally naked alongside Beatrice Dalle in '37.2 degrees in the morning', to playing an homosexual in 'The wounded man; , from portraying the king of France in 'Queen Margot', to playing a Canadian cop alongside Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke in 'Taking lives'

'I had known Betty for a week. We screwed every night. The forecast was for storms.'
