Not On My Bingo Card....

I'm not sure about you, but I didn't have actor Charles Melton being nominated for a Golden Globe on my 2023 bingo card.  Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan, and have been for awhile, but of all the actors on Riverdale, Melton would not have been my pick for a nomination.

Like Casey Cott, (Kevin) Reggie Mantle was never really written for, and most of the supporting cast were used simply as props for the core four.  It's one of the reasons the last few seasons of the show were so dreadful.   Melton was hired for his looks, and he is stunning, but the writers of Riverdale never really gave him the opportunity to show he could do more.

I've been a fan of the model turned actor since seeing him stumbling around naked and bloody in Hotel, the fifth season of American Horror Story. (see on FH HERE:)  I haven't yet seen his performance in May December, I had hoped to last weekend, but got sidelined.  Hopefully this weekend I'll get to see his Golden Gold nominated performance.  Onto the Oscars Reggie!

Sounds good doesn't it? A little Twin Peakish. The plot describes Glue, a British television drama that began airing on E4 this past September. I have yet to see it, but after hearing about the plot, and after seeing caps of actor Callum Turner from the series, I am anxiously awaiting doing so!

24 year old Callum got his start as a model, working with Next London and featured in many successful campaigns including his work with Reebok. A love of film, inspired by his mother, had Callum transition to acting in 2011. In addition to acting, Callum has also made his directing debut in the short Splinter in 2013. Callum's star is most certainly on the rise and next year will be seen along side James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe in the newest big screen adaptation of Frankenstein.
