On Christmas Day in the Morning!

Jake

The Merriest of Christmas moments to everyone checking into FH
for a few minutes this Christmas Day!

Earlier this month, I featured a great selection of holiday shots from RMark Photography. (HERE:)  Since then the Georgia based photographer posted a few more that I really wanted to share.  I thought these two shots of Jake and Rex would be great to wake up to this Christmas morning.

Wrapped in Red

'He has a great smile but I was captivated by his smoldering intense expressions. Ladykiller looks!'

It wouldn't be Christmas without the visual gift of a new shoot from Tom Nakielski from Lights On Studio. I remember sensing the excitement from photographer when he wrote me in October that he thought he'd found a model for the Christmas shoot.  I remember Tom using many positive adjectives, including  'gorgeous' and 'hot' within the body of the e-mail.  Check out more of the results on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

12 Days: My Christmases With Colin

' I realize that when I met you at the turkey curry buffet, I was unforgivably rude, and wearing a reindeer jumper.'
Mark Darcy

Some FH readers may remember my writing that the site initially began as an escape. I'd moved to a new job, left my friends, family and a long term relationship in the city, to move to a small rural town surrounded by fields filled with crops and cows.

Bridget Jones Diary (2001)

Feeling isolated and alone, and without many outlets for a creative, and newly out twenty something, the seeds of FH were planted. It began first, with a yahoo group, a place to store images of the male form that I loved and wanted to save. A couple of years later, it morphed into the blog that you're reading today.

During those early years in the country I spent my first few Christmas's alone.  The first two were due to my job.  Since I was new, I usually ended up having to work or do on-call over Christmas, which I couldn't travel to friends or family until after the 26th.  Twice, I got stuck at home when snow storms prevented my doing the long drive home.

Those were the worst.  When I worked, I knew that Christmas was just delayed. My family usually waited to have their big dinner and gift exchange until I arrived.  When I stuck at home, Christmas went on without me, and my dinner was whatever little I had left in the fridge.  I remember one year in particular, packing the car with presents, putting my two dogs in and heading to the highway.  After about five minutes on the highway, the snow was coming down so hard I had to turn back due to lack of visibility.

My only consolation at the time was a new DVD player and a selection of Christmas movies I collected and was given as gifts.  Two of my favorites were Bridget Jones Diary and Love Actually.  My favorite characters in both were played by Colin Firth and a Christmas crush was born.

Love Actually (2003)

Although its been awhile since I've seen either, I watched both every Christmas through the mid to late 2000's.  I loved seeing Mark Darcy in his reindeer jumper in Bridget Jones and when Jamie traveled to Marseille to propose to Aurelia in Love Actually,  Although I do many posts in the 12 Days series, I try to find an actor or a movie I have a connection with for December 25.  Colin Firth, and these two Christmas films certainly fit the bill.

'Beautiful Aurelia, I've come here with a view of asking you to marriage me. I know I seems an insane person - because I hardly knows you - but sometimes things are so transparency, they don't need evidential proof. And I will inhabit here, or you can inhabit with me in England.'
Jamie Bennett

Like every 12 Days post, in addition to spotlight an actor and their role in a holiday film, I also want to unwrap their on-screen nude scenes.  Luckily, Mr. Firth had quite a few.  Check some of my favorites in my Actors & Skin piece on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Gordon Nebeker: An Elven Enhancement

'I loved having two elves to work with! No rehearsals were necessary - they both took to it like ducks to water'

It was the Christmas of 2015 when the tradition begun.   That was the year the first naked holiday elf stood on the step ladder to help photographer Gordon Nebeker trim his tree.  There may have been naked tree decorators before 2015, but that was the first year Gordon the elf was photographed and shared the results with FH

Long time readers might remember that first holiday helper was Mr. Elf Herzog. (HERE:) Since then, we've had Elf Tim, Elf Ryan and Elf Mark,  Both Elf Mark and Elf Herzog pulled decorating duties on two separate years.  The tree's have also been trimmed in Massachusetts, Florida, and in a secret forest, on a Southern State, somewhere along the coast during one of Gordon's drives south.

This year, Gordon decided to really deck his halls.  The pandemic meant many had quieter Christmas' than usual, and Gordon thought it was time to make up and pull out all the stops.  This meant not one, but two elves were required, so after initially writing the North Pole for Elf Zachary to come down to help, a last minute request was sent for Elf Patrick to join him.

As you can clearly see from Gordon's shots, the job of trimming the tree is a lot more fun with an extra set of hands.  This way, you can be sure to ensure there are no bare spaces on the tree, and every nook cranny and crevices is given the attention it so sumptuously deserves.   Two elves ensured that this year's Christmas tree was most amorously Elvenly enhanced.

It turns out that this wasn't the first time that Zachary and Patrick have jingled their balls together.  They previously met and worked together at an Elf convention a few years ago.  When Patrick learned Zachary was hired to trim Gordon's tree, wrap his packages and polish his sugar plums, he was sad to be stuck back at the North Pole.

It worked out perfectly then, when Gordon decided an tasty twosome of elves. There is obviously elfin chemistry, and as great as they look together, and as yummy as their mythical bodies are, I especially love the twinkle in their eyes and the excitement on their faces.   After a job well done, and the magic of the Christmas season, their eyes all aglow will make it hard to sleep tonight...

'It was great working with Zachary because of how comfortable I quickly felt around him. We met a couple of years ago briefly, stayed friends, and then suddenly we’re posing intimately together. It all turned out so well!'

'It was such a pleasure being asked to be this year’s Christmas elf! I had a blast being able to shoot with Gordon again, and I was happy to have Patrick tag along for double the fun!'
