Favorite Face of the Day: Dan Hoy

If you're like me, sometimes while watching television, you'll see a great face that draws you in, and has you wanting to see more.  Given I work on FH, that means heading on-line to learn more.  That's exactly what happened with a recent viewing of Devil's Night, the Halloween episode of Elsbeth.

I love Carrie Preston, and really loved her portrayal of Elsbeth on The Good Wife and The Good Fight.  I hadn't watched before, but given my love of Halloween, thought that spooky themed episode would be a good place to start. I'm not so sure Elsbeth is suited as a lead on a series, but a character better suited for sporadically placed guest appearances.... But, I did enjoy the episode.

I do love that Elsbeth is shot in New York, and isn't one of the many L.A based shows that uses green screen to get the 'feel' of New York.  I also love that New York and east coast shows often feature Broadway and stage actors, something I used to love about The Good Wife.   One of those stage actors featured in Devil's night was the incredibly handsome actor Dan Hoy.

Hoy only appeared briefly in the show, but he had me heading to IMDB.  His turn on Elsbeth marked his first official screen credit.   Not his first credit as an actor however, as he has a long list of theatre credits.  Some of his appearances include roles in; Harmony, The Glass Menagerie, Pippin, Next To Normal, Rock of Ages, Sweeney Todd and Into The Woods.  Hoy also kept his beautiful body toned squeezing into his tight Munkustrap suit during his time touring with Cats.  Next up for Hoy will be appearing in The Pirates of Penzance, opening next spring on Broadway.

12 Days: Keith D. Robinson in Sister Swap: Christmas in the City

'Two sisters find a new sense of purpose and discover what they both truly need in life during the holidays.'

I know I'm not the only one who gets half-way through a Hallmark Christmas movie before realizing that I'd already seen it.  Given the story seminaries in the Hallmark rom-com series, it's easy to think you've seen a movie, even if you haven't.   It gets even more complicated when it's a movie with a similar title, identical characters, and stories and scenes that overlap.

That's exactly what happened when I recently caught 2021's Sister Swap: Christmas in the City.  About 20 minutes in, I was sure I'd seen the film before.  I actually though, hadn't.  My confusion was understandable however, because I'd seen Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday a couple of years ago, and the two films are basically the same movie from the perspectives of two sisters, also the two main characters.

The two sister are played by real life sisters Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Ashley Williams and the two films aired over two weekends in 2021.  Although there are scenes that are exactly the same in both movies, there are different characters in focus.   One of the reasons why I was confused was because in Christmas in the City, the main male hottie is Joe, and he was barely seen in the first version of the film I'd seen.

I certainly would have remembered Joe, especially given he was played by the incredibly hot actor and singer Keith D. Robinson.  Sexy, sweet with a great smile, Robinson was especially engaging, making this part of the sister swap, (focused on Ashley Williams) far more entertaining and memorable than the previous version that I saw.   Although Robinson was in both, he didn't have much airtime, and if you blinked, or looked away, it was easy to miss him.

Many may know Robinson from his role in the TV series Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue playing Joel Rawlings, the Green Lightspeed Ranger.[Robinson also appeared in such films as Fat Albert, Mimic: Sentinel and as C.C White in Dreamgirls. Robinson also appeared in such television series as American Dreams, Monk, as well as his recurring role on the UPN series Half & Half.

I think Robinsons only nude scene was his butt baring shower entrance in the 2014 drama Cru.  Brief, but certainly memorable....

Confidence Booster: Dax Lazarus by ClearEye Photography

'I am definitely an exhibitionist. I am used to showing my body off and love using it to entice and arouse men.  I especially body as a canvas for the art and fantasy's of others.'
Dax

One of the joys of having worked on FH for so long, is observing and chronicling change.   There are many models and artists I've been fortunate to feature numerous times over the years.  With models the changes are physical, with artists, the changes are often more visually subtle.  Changes and growth with technique, as well as changes with creative choices and their choice of themes.

I'm been featuring the work of ClearEye Photography for over 12 years now, and over time it's been fascinating to watch the evolvement of his imagery.    Not necessarily with technique, ClearEye has been shooting for decades, but with his choice of models and themes.  The last few shoots that I've featured, have certainly had a focus on fetish, with uniquely beautiful men sharing their passion for bondage, discipline and pup play.  You can check out all of ClearEye's work on FH by checking out my new Quaternate post on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Dax Lazarus certainly has a passion for sexual submission, and wanted to incorporate his love of BDSM into his work with ClearEye.   Photographer and model have known each other for years, Dax is the ex-boyfriend of one of ClearEye's closest friends.  Although they've occasionally hung out over the years this was their first time working together.  This is actually Dax's first nude shoot with a photographer.  Although Dax knew that ClearEye shot nude male portraits, it was only recently that he asked about posing and working together.

'Given this was his first shoot, I was surprised at how quickly he took to modeling. He was quite good at giving me the facial expressions and poses I asked for and I was really pleased with how the photos came out. We’ve discussed doing more photos in the future, and I’m definitely willing and eager to do that.

Although Dax has certainly been photographed many times, and in many sexual positions by his Sir,  he was excited about doing his first professional shoot with ClearEye, and creating images that could be shared with others, and not just accessible and enjoyed by one other person. Although Dax really wanted to capture his love of fetish, ClearEye also took a plenty of non-fetish shots with more classical poses.   The images featured here are some of my favorites from both.  Dax also shared his thoughts on his first nude shoot and why he's so drawn to the world of BDSM.

What made you decide to try nude modeling?
I decided to try nude modeling after thinking about it for a while. I wanted to see if it was something I was good at and I could use the confidence booster. It has been something on the back of my mind for years, since I was a kid even.

Had you ever participated in nude actives before?
I never went skinny dipping (can’t swim), I have gone streaking a few times. In general, I walk around naked in my house or in BDSM gear. Growing up, I was half naked around my parents house always. My dad barely had clothes on at home (most of the time, he woke up in underwear and stayed in them on the weekends).

What was your first experience modeling nude like?
Liberating!  I felt like a God. Like Aphrodite herself came down and into me during the shoot. It was a lot of fun, super easy, and came naturally to me. We took over 500 photos over 2 hours but it didn’t feel like that much time went by. The shoot was quite laid back.

Did you discuss or plan the theme before shooting?
This was my first photoshoot so we didn’t have anything too serious planned. ClearEye wanted to take some shoots of me in natural light and go from there. He had a bunch of pictures on his phone for model inspiration. I tried to replicate some of the photos.

It really wasn’t planned out too meticulously.  I suggested the bondage and blindfold props. I am a BDSM model/slave in general. I calm down a lot and feel like myself when tied up, gagged, and blindfolded.

What was your favorite part about working with ClearEye.
Getting to learn more about how photography and modeling works. I learned more about photo editing than I had in the past few years. I also got to enjoy hanging out with ClearEye and talking about life. He is a good friend in general. I like hanging out with him and looking at photography or art.

If you could choose an idea or theme for your next shoot, what would it be?
Let’s go with a Greek setting or more rope and rubber bondage photography. I think photography towards BDSM and kink in general is both fun and demanding work.  I think most people are more vanilla than kinky, so although I love fetish theme, would also love to do more traditional nude poses and themes.
