Kudos to George Clooney

“I think it’s funny, but the last thing you’ll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, ‘These are lies!’ That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I’m not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, and I’m very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I’m gay? I’ll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don’t give a shit.”

Finally a celeb gets it! A masterclass to anyone, even gay celebs! Clooney's allure has escaped me over the years, but between his quote in The Advocate and his tux appeal at the Oscars I am finally starting to get it!

Shark Reversal:

I really had no intention of watching American Idol this season. The show jumped the shark awhile ago and no longer seems able to produce a star like Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood. But... The X Factor was a hot mess and The Voice has yet to hook me into watching on any type of regular basis.

Colton Dixon

It was not Colton Dixon or his skinny jeans that grabbed me this time. I liked Colton last year, but this year he made the finals and sadly that means he speaks more which has dampened his appeal. I have only watched a few minutes so far this season but did catch the show last night to see who made the top 13.

Jennifer Hirsh

I cannot believe Jermaine Jones made it, I don't see the talent.... and sadly Jennifer Hirsh and Reed Grimm (great name) both were cut, but the hottest guy did remained. Jeremy Rosado may not be your typical 'hunk' but his his ability to move me when he sings certainly makes him the most appealing thus far. His song to save him last night was an incredible moment and made me glad I tuned in.

Rebuilt: Jack Perotinus by Josh Veloso

Whenever you see the prefix re in front of a word you know your either heading forward or going backward. Rewind, reverse and reduce do not describe the direction photographer Josh Veloso and model Jack Perotinus are heading for.

For both men, the focus is rebuilding. For Josh Veloso it is rebranding his image. Known primarily for his fashion and fitness work, the Chicago based photographer is focusing more on edgier, erotic imagery bringing his extensive 18 years of experience and skill to redefine the way he shoots the male form.

For model Jack Perotinus the re belongs deservedly in front of build. About 10 years ago, having never done one thing athletic and tired of being shaped like a stereotypical opera singer or tubist, Jack started casually hitting the gym. With small results came a love of working out, and as goals got bigger and enthusiasm for fitness grew, he was absolutely amazed to see how he could transform his body. If anyone had told Jack in his 20's that he would ever have visible abdominal muscles - he would have laughed his ass off.

Born & raised on the coast of Maine, and still very much a rocky Atlantic seashore boy at heart, Jack studied music while at college in both Boston & Baltimore. Although Jack now lives in Chicago, he worked professionally as a musician in NYC for most of the past 11 years. Jack still gets back to NY frequently and travels frequently throughout the eastern US to perform.

Sophia's Bush

I remember back in 2003 watching the first few episodes of One Tree Hill. The net was buzzing with shirtless shots of Chad Michael Murray, especially of the scene, early in the first season, where he was wearing only a couple of basketballs. I quickly lost interest however and stopped watching at about the forth or fifth episode.

Series regular Sophia Bush obviously never heard of the saying 'don't dip your pen in the company ink'. I was surprised recently, reading an article about the shows final season, that Sophia's Bush has been dipped by three of her co-stars. I knew she was married to Chad Michael Murray early in the shows run but did not know she also dated the incredibly hot James Lafferty as well as actor Austin Nichols. According to the article Bush and Nichols recently broke up leaving three of her ex's able to share war stories while hanging out on set.

I have only had one relationship with someone I worked with and the aftermath was not pretty. It was not so much awkward with the person themselves, it was more the fall out amongst our co-workers who were friends with us both. Who you hang out with, support and trust at work can be crucial and break-ups tend to send alignments out of wack. I found it hard to wade through certain relationships (staff meetings were the worst) and it took awhile for things to get back to normal.

If I were a producer Bush's triple co-star hattrick would certainly cause me to pause before hiring her. Not only did she date three of her co-stars, she married one and not one of the relationships lasted very long. Although I can appreciate her taste in men, I suggest Bush expand her dating pool beyond the men who are on salary to spend their days with her.
