Favorite Pic of the Day for February 26th

Why is actor Steve Guttenberg headlining today's salute to the Academy Awards....
Find out below!

Every year come Oscar time, I post images from some of my favorite nude scenes from the nominated actors. I (un)covered most of this year's nominee's last month in my Golden Globes tribute. This year I salute the 5 nominee's in each of the acting categories with a focus on the 'body of work' of a specific nominee in each category. Hope you find something new or interesting in this years Oscar posts, and enjoy the awards!  Check out my previous Academy Award posts HERE:

Actor in a Leading Role

Casey Affleck, Manchester by the Sea
Andrew Garfield, Hacksaw Ridge
Ryan Gosling, La La Land
Viggo Mortensen, Captain Fantastic
Denzel Washington, Fences

When it comes to nudity in mainstream movies, Viggo Mortensen ran quickly by Richard Gere to the finish line quite a few years ago. Viggo has managed to go back and forth between blockbusters like The Lord Of The Rings, and smaller more character driven films with ease. Although there was 25 years between Viggo's frontals in The Indian Runner and Captain Fantastic, and he didn't miss a 'beat'.

Captain Fantastic (2016)

I have covered all of Viggo's uncovering on FH, but one of my favorite pieces was on his missing bottom butt from Psycho. (The Case of the Vanishing Rear Window)

Psycho (1998)

On The Road (2012)

The Road (2009)

Eastern Promises (2007)

The Indian Runner (1991)

Actress in a Leading Role

Isabelle Huppert, Elle
Ruth Negga, Loving
Natalie Portman, Jackie
Emma Stone, La La Land
Meryl Streep, Florence Foster Jenkins

I have to admit, I haven't seen many movies starring Oscar nominee Isabelle Huppert. I know she has made a ton of incredible movies, but the two movies that she has appeared in, I know mostly because of the male nudity element. I had no interest at all in actor Steve Guttenberg until he bedded Huppert in The Bedroom Window, and walked naked from the bed to the bathroom. That bathroom visit proved a bit of a problem for Steve, but it made watching the 80's thriller a lot fun.

The Bedroom Window (1987)

Ma Mère (2004)

A decade plus later, the naked man Hubbert was sharing scenes with was Louis Garrel, and movie, the 2004 film, Ma Mère. It has been awhile since I watched Ma Mère, and don't remember too much about it, well except for Louis' nude scenes, but I think a re-viewing is in order.

Actor in a Supporting Role

Mahershala Ali, Moonlight
Jeff Bridges, Hell or High Water
Lucas Hedges, Manchester by the Sea
Dev Patel, Lion
Michael Shannon, Nocturnal Animals

Starman (1984)

Jeff Bridges has been nominated for many awards, and usually when I feature him, I go to my 'go to' shots from Against All Odds. That is a little odd in itself, since I have never seen that movie. I do have a childhood memory however, of being with my Dad and younger brother at a screening of Starman. This was the first time I saw Jeff Bridges on screen, and the movie had a surprising, but rather 'Disney-like' nude scene near the beginning of the film. Although there was just a few seconds of Bridges butt, the scene in which he 'was naked' was rather long, and I remember being excited they might show another glimpse of his butt. They did not. =

Since starting FH, I have seen much of more of Jeff's work, and loved watching The Last Picture Show on TCM a few years ago. In honor of Jeff's most recent Oscar nom, I am featuring a few of my favorite peaks at Bridges body. I found copies of both The Last American Hero and Winter Kills to create some new caps.

The Door in the Floor (2004)

The Last American Hero (1973)

Video below from Scenes From Male Skin, showing a bit more skin than my version of the flick.

Winter Kills (1979)

Actress in a Supporting Role

Viola Davis, Fences
Naomie Harris, Moonlight
Nicole Kidman, Lion
Octavia Spencer, Hidden Figures
Michelle Williams, Manchester by the Sea

I have an odd relationship to Nicole Kidman movies, I like to mock them, but I am also drawn to them.  I especially loved The Hours, Dead Calm, Practical Magic and The Others.  I also have fond memories of my old VHS copy of Flirting.   Lion sadly doesn't stand much of chance of winning many awards this year, but I liked it much more than films that are winning this award season.

Far And Away (1992)

Nicole Kidman has worked, and on-screen bedded, some of Hollywood's hottest actors.  The list is long, starting with her three appearances with former husband Tom Cruise.  Although maybe the least popular of the three, Far And Away was my favorite, and at the time, I found Tom's 'bowl' scene very hot.

Flirting (1991)

Ok, I had to a bit of googling before being ok with posting these caps.  Set at boarding school, Australian actor Les Hill was l8 and legal when he filmed his Flirting shower scene that many of us replayed over and over on our old VHS machines.

Malice (1993)

Malice was your typical, but enjoyable 90's thriller, highlighted by Alec Baldwin's brief, but hot, and sweaty butt scene.

The Paperboy (2012)

I watched for Zac Efron's wet tighty whitie scene, but Matthew McConaughey's performance made The Paperboy.

Dead Calm (1989)

Billy Zane was never hotter, nor badder, than when terrorizing Kidman and Sam Neil in Dead Calm
