Back to School

For many, school began weeks ago, but where I live, the first bell of the new school year rang this week.  I remember many of my first days at school.  Some, depending on the year, were greeted with excitement, others, with dread and fear.  Thanks to JayBee from Frisky Frolic however, this teacher knows just how to grab and keep a students attention!

12 Days: Tyler Harlow in Marry Me in Yosemite

'Zoe is a successful photojournalist, on request of her publisher she takes her next subject to be Yosemite. There, she meets Jack, an intriguing tour guide who opens her eyes to new possibilities as they take a journey together.'

Hallmark movies are a bit like comfort food, and I normally gravitate towards comfort food during the winter months.  I hadn't watched a Hallmark film in months until a week and a half ago when I caught the film Groundswell.  While I watched, there were frequent commercials for the upcoming Marry Me in Yosemite which aired this past weekend.

The promo ads featured Hallmark staple actress Cindy Busby and the beautiful face of an incredibly hot actor I'd not heard of before.  The actor was Tyler Harlow, and those ads did the trick and I recorded the movie and watched last night.  The reason I'd never heard of Harlow before is because Marry Me in Yosemite marks not only his first Hallmark movie, but the first professional credit of his acting career.

Tyler by Andrew M. Gleason

In addition to the stunning visuals of Harlow, there were also magnificent visuals of Yosemite Valley and park.  The land and environment, as well it's history and Native American connection were also weaved into the story.  This element for me, elevated the film beyond the usual tropes associated with Hallmark movies.  They were also part of the draw of the film for Harlow.

'I hope people find a place to hear a story about the marrying of the visual aesthetic of wilderness with the need to preserve and conserve these beautiful places. I hope they feel a deeper affinity for those things and be inspired to seek some solace out in the wilderness on their own.'
Tyler Harlow Interview, Digital Journal

Although I didn't recognize Tyler Harlow, some of you I'm sure are familiar with his work as a model.  Harlow has worked with with some of the most well known visual chroniclers of the male form, many of whom I've featured on FH.  Some of my favorite images of Tyler were taken by photographer Andrew M. Gleason.  I was first introduced to Andrew's work almost 10 years ago when a model I was profiling sent on his work with the Los Angeles based photographer for a piece on the site.  All of the modeling shots featured here were taken by Andrew.

Wishing Well: Joffrey by Saki75

'Dans ce monde je suis CA et peut devenir CECI '
Joffrey

FH readers are aware of my love and respect for Saki the model.  I first discovered Saki's imagery on Model Mayhem about seven years ago, and have featured his self-portraits on the site frequently ever since. (HERE:)  One of my first pieces on his work, back in 2015,  (HERE:) focused on Saki's work as a photographer, not only shooting himself, but capturing other male models as well.

Recently, I've been enjoying more of Saki's work shooting others, and contacted him about featuring his work with Joffrey, one of my favorite models from his portfolio,.  I love Joffrey's look, his handsome face and eyes and his  beautiful body. I especially loved the images and the fantasy that Saki captured during the time working together.

Saki first connected with Joffrey on Instagram after the French actor and stuntman contacted him about working together.  Saki took notice of Joffrey's strong face and muscular body and a shoot was quickly scheduled.

Saki shares that this wasn't Joffrey's first time posing nude and was very comfortable with the process and shoot.   Saki also loved Joffrey's involvement and creative ideas during their time creating together.

As an actor, Joffrey's goal is to create characters and inhabit worlds beyond the one he lives in when he's not at work.  Beyond just posing as himself, Joffrey loves to use his theatrical experience to create a entirely new persona in front of the lens. I loved the character, and the fantasy, that Saki and Joffrey created in this series of images.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has dreamed of moving to France and living in a farm house or small cottage in the scenic country side.  Saki often shoots in his apartment, for his work with Joffrey, he wanted a different setting so they decide to shoot in Saki's garden, just outside of Paris.

In addition to dreaming of living in that French farm house, You can't have a decent France fantasy without a hot Frenchmen in the mix.  Depending on your needs, he either visits frequently, or moves  into that beautiful new cottage.   .

In this series of shots, I imagine a beautiful spring Sunday morning.  While you lay out the fresh pastries, prepare the coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice, your hunky French fantasy man, walks naked through the garden to collect water from the well.

The water isn't for you to drink, but to fill a  water jug to water the gardens and a fill a bucket to fill the containers for the chickens that you keep in the small coop on the side of the property.  Since this is a fantasy, yes, I'm adding in some chickens, and maybe even a few goats..
