Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Last Halloween, FH readers might remember my featuring Naked Ambition's images of a sexy masked hippo. (Hippopotamus in the Shower) In addition to his shots of the masked model Jeremiah Bottom, Naked Ambition's George also sent along a few shots of Jeremiah's Irish cousin, Niall McWeeney.

George shared tons of great stories about the lascivious Leprechaun, most however, too naughty to share on FH....  Let's just say that in America, many buskers earn a little change by playing their musical instruments outside of liquor stores and malls.  The only instrument that Niall cares to have played with however, is the one between his legs....  Soooo, If you every find yourself in Ireland on St. Paddy's Day (or any day of the year really) head on over to a mall and for just a few quarters, you can kiss Niall's Irish flute yourself for a for luck

Bacon & Beefcake

100% Irish Beef!

When seeking out the perfect Irish hunks to feature this year, I came upon the Irish Farmer, a charity Calendar featuring a barn and field full of Irish grade A beef!  Although they don't pose naked, I found my captivated by the images, and spent far too much time enjoying the farmers, their produce, and the adorable animals they pose with.

Eoin Macken: An Irishmen in New York

Every St. Paddy's Day, I look for a favorite Irish lad to feature on the site.  I love me some Eoin Macken and this piece, was originally intended to posted last year.  When I was searching for images however, I stumbled upon a post on Eoin's Instagram with the Dublin born actor raving about seeing a new film called, what else, St. Patrick's Day.

I ended up getting sidetracked, looking for, and then watching the movie.  I ended up doing a piece on the film and it's star Moe Dunford. (HERE:)  I wasn't about to let another March 17th go by without saluting one of Ireland's hottest import, Eoin Macken.

Eoin, (pronounced Owen) is not only incredibly talented, and incredibly hot, he's also a man who has been busy pursing a variety of careers and interests.  While at University, where he obtained his honors in Psychology, Eoin also became a successful model, becoming the face of Abercrombie and Fitch when he was 19.

Eoin went to study at the Attic studio of drama which led to a move to Los Angeles, and the beginning of his acting and directing career. Eoin has been on the big and small screen in both Europe and the US and currently divides his time between homes in Dublin and New York.

Irish Eyes: Dakota by Studio1x

When Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the angels sing.

Many FH readers are aware that Jim from Studio1x has photographed many incredible men, and many, he's managed to persuade to don a witches or Christmas hat or be covered with vegetables or hearts for a FH holiday themed shoot.  Jim shares that the fetching Dakota didn't require much pursuing, but do to how close it was getting to St. Paddy's Day, it did require some quick planning, and creative scheduling.

'I had a few ideas brewing around in my head but hadn't acted upon buying any of the props as I hadn't found the right model for the shoot.  I was sitting at the barber one Saturday morning and while waiting was checking out my Instagram feed. I came across a photo that Dakota had recently posted and thought he would be perfect for the shoot I had in mind.'

Jim had never met or spoken to Dakota before, but thought he would try reaching out to see if he might be interested.   Thankfully Dakota immediately responded that he was interested and on board.  Usually when nudity is involved, Jim likes to move slower but with St. Paddy's Day coming up quickly, he knew he had to act fast.

'I usually tend to set appointments for this type of shoot out into the future, allowing the model to think about it, ask questions and for us to be able to get to know one another better since not everyone is real comfortable being nude let alone doing a nude shoot, it helps build the trust and a working relationship.'

For this shoot, Jim needed it to happen sooner than later, so he asked Dakota if he was available by chance that same day.  Dakota wasn't, but he was able to free up some time the following day. Jim already had another all day shoot scheduled, but asked Dakota if he might be free for an evening shoot, Dakota was fine with that, even though Jim's studio was over an hour away and snow was in the forecast.

'With a had a busy day ahead of me,  I still needed to go and purchase all of the props to be used in the shoot. I was able to get all of that accomplished and that evening set up the studio and did a few test shots to set the lights and see how the props were going to work. Not having a model to do the test with, I became the stand in model and photographer. Those photos will not be shared with anyone but buried in the vault!!!'

FH readers know I usually lay out images in each post to reveal.  The reveal is of course about what's under the shirt and jeans, or in Dakota's case, the kilt, but also to reveal the story.  I also find that by beginning with portrait and clothed shots, viewers get a greater appreciation for all aspects of the subject in focus.  I love that Jim always sends me sets of images in the order in which they were taken.  This means I usually get face, upper body and clothed shots before seeing full nudes.

When Jim sent on his work with Dakota, I knew instantly he picked the perfect model to help visually celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  Dakota has a great look and I was immediately drawn to his beautiful eyes.  I also loved the simple set up Jim created and the colors and fashion, especially the tartan green kilt that contrasts so beautifully against Dakota's skin.

Speaking of that kilts, tradition is that true kilt wearers never wear anything under, and Dakota of course, chose to honor that tradition. To see more of Dakota, and less of the kilt, and to read more of the story behind the shoot,  head on over to PAGE 2 HERE:

If any of you were following docpeppy, aka the multi-talented Daniel Jensen, on Instagram, you may have noticed his page went POOF recently. Although you can always follow Daniel on his Twitter or OnlyFans, Instagram got a little over heated by so many delicious shots of Daniel's derriere. Daniel's page is back however, and you can check out the link below.

What God Had Graced: Dakota by Studio1x

They crept up to the sleeping Scotsman quiet as could be
Lifted up his kilt above the waist so they could see
And there behold for them to view beneath his Scottish skirt
Was nothing but what God had graced him with upon his birth

'So....Sunday evening comes, Dakota was very prompt on his arrival time. We made a bit of small talk and then started the shoot. He brought a bottle of bourbon to loosen up a bit which was perfect as we were able to use that as a prop as well. I found Dakota to be very easy to work with, and as you can see he is very good looking with a great body.'

Jim shares that Dakota took his direction well, without any eye rolls, and didn't tell him he was bat shit crazy with some of the poses and idea's Jim wanted to capture.  Although Dakota had done several shoot before this one with Jim, Jim was only the third photographer he'd worked with but was very comfortable with the nudity which Jim says made the shooting process very easy.

'Dakota had a very good sense of humor and there were a bunch of laughs along with more than a smart ass comments. A couple of his quotes that stick out in my mind that he said during the shoot were "Being in the military, I have seen enough dicks to last me a life time" He also said that by doing this type of a shoot and having it posted, no one will ever be able to threaten him that they will post his nudes on line." He'll now be able to laugh and reply that they are already there!'

Jim shares that it wasn't only a fun and productive night, but they as they were capturing some great shots, he and Dakota built a great working relationship.  They've already done another shoot after this one (which I promise to bug Jim about featuring) and are working on scheduling a third!

'Working with a model for the first time, there can be surprises and this time was no exception. I noticed he had some very nice tattoos but was a bit surprised once he undressed to see that he had one on his butt. Not only a tattoo on his butt but a funny one, a smiley face that said "don't worry, be happy" Made me laugh as it did not fit in with his other tattoos but he stated that it was his first tattoo and being in the military he was not allowed to have any showing so he decided to get this one on his butt.'

'Being winter, I kept the same theme as the last two, Thanksgiving and Valentines, having it cold. I had the heater on all day to warm up the garage studio but it was still quite chilly but Dakota was a trooper and didn't complain at all during the shoot about being cold. We did take some warm up breaks where he sat in front of the heater. After about shooting for 3-4 hours we finally called it a night as he still needed to get dinner and make it home in the snow.'

Thanks so much to Jim for the incredible shots for organizing the shoot without a lot of time! Thanks to Dakota for being the perfect model to wear, then drop the kilt to celebrate all things Irish. Thanks especially for risking the weather and driving through the snow to and from Jim's studio.
