Chavezaissance

'The most challenging aspects of playing Father Charlie ended up being what made him so delightful as a character to live in. It is that inner conflict. It is the fact that his inner life disagrees with his outer life.'

It's a great week to be actor Nicholas Alexander Chavez.  After gaining a fandom, and winning critical acclaim, and an EMMY for his work on General Hospital, the actors two Ryan Murphy produced projects both dropped in the last seven days.

On the set of Monsters

Between playing Lyle Menendez in Monsters and Father Charlie Mayhew in Grotesquerie, Chavez is the man of the moment, currently all over the net from social media sites, to sites like FH focused on the male form.  Chavez also just signed with CAA, one of Hollywood's biggest, and most successful talent agencies.

Chavez and Koch by Nino Muñoz

I'm sure some of you are getting sick of my posts on Chavez, and his Monster's co-star Cooper Koch, and I promise I'm almost done.  I'm just about to finish the Netflix show, and just finished the first two episodes of Grotesquerie.  As much as I loved the fast-paced visual eye candy in Monsters, I think I actually got pulled in deeper to the story set up in the first two episodes of Grotesquerie.  It's just fascinating to watch a star on the rise in real time.

I'm one of those who, except for maybe a shirtless clip o Youtube, never saw a moment of Chavez during his time on General Hospital.  Yet... I knew who he was, posted about him, and heard the buzz around his promising career.  His incredible body and great face doesn't hurt, but unlike so many soap hunks before him, Chavez has the talent and the drive to back up all the hype surrounding him.

'A little water clears us of this deed.'
William Shakespeare

Over the years, I've featured dozens of dozens of shower shoots.  It makes sense,  bathrooms and shower stalls make great locations.  This is especially true as showers are one of the daily activities we  naturally do naked.  I've also featured many shoots in motels and hotels, so after shooting on the bed, or by the window, it makes sense to then utilize the only other room available.

Showers are also one of those activities that can be either dull and routine, or erotically sensual.  I love focusing on these activities, showering, bathing, dressing and undressing.  Things we all do everyday, mostly without giving it much thought.  We're often in a hurry during our morning routine, and frequently tired during the evenings repeat of the ritual.

Given however, we're completely naked as part of the process, sometimes, when we have the time, that ritual can become incredibly sensual.  No other routine activity requires us to touch every part of our naked body.  From head to toe, every body curve and crevice, is touched, washed and massaged as we shower and cleanse our skin and body parts.

This is why this incredibly intimate activity, one that we usually do alone, can be so sexy and arousing when done with, or watched by, another.  So many scenes in adult films and even mainstream movies and television shows include showers.

There are so many shower scenes that come to mind, from guys solo, couples and of course group showers.  I've featured so many over the years including; Christian Bale in American Psycho, Gilles Marini in Sex and the City and Ben Affleck in Gone Girl. There have also been dozens on TV shows including; Oz, Euphoria, Elite and We Are Who We Are, we've gotten so many of our hottest views of the male form of film, with water cascading down over their naked skin.

Just this past week, so many of watched Monsters, a show that ensured we had decent views of both of it's hot leads naked in the shower.  This certainly isn't a new phenomenon though, even going back to the 50's, 60's and 70's, shower scenes have been used to arouse and excite audiences.

The purpose of this specific shower scene, expressing begin with the goal to excite.  Of course this is FH, so even the thought of a hot, naked and wet Frenchmen can begin the course of stimulation and arousal.  Artist Saki, who've I've featured many times as both a photographer and a model, had worked the alluring Laurent many times, but this time, they had a specific goal in mind.

Laurent wanted to capture a piece of 'everyday life', chronicling those daily routines, focused on the lives of gay men and gay couples.  What I find so hot about Saki's shots of Laurent, is just how naturally sensual they are.  Laurent didn't just pose naked in the shower, ensuring angles and curves were in focus.  He didn't give seductive or 'come hither' looks to the camera as the soap washed down his skin.

Laurent simply took a real shower, just as he does every other morning, and tried as he usually does, to focus on the task at hand, ignoring Saki and the camera, at least as much as he could.  Although he looked directly at Saki's lens a few times, for the most part, the goal was simply just to lather up, and wash is body as Saki clicked away.  The task was made a bit easier as this shoot took place in Laurent's home, and in the shower he uses every day.

I think the results are just naturally sexy, and so much hotter than many of the shower shoots that more staged and choreographed for the camera.  As stated, part of the goal was capture gay life, with a gay couple and although Saki never joined Laurent in the shower, he did have a little bathroom exposure of his own.  Check out those shots on the NEXT PAGE HERE:
