Nice to read he was from Ontario Canada.
I must say that he may be a far relative of my family as many did immigrate west and even in USA around the mid 19th century.
Not to reveal my real name, the name Ange (Angel in French) was part of many family members back in old days. My ancester came to Ange Guardien (Guardian Angel) near Québec city in 1648.
So when some members of my family immigrated to Ontario and USA they changed to too French part of our family name to keep the «Ange» part which became Lange.
There is also a sport gear company, mainly skates which is named Lange.
Proud to be Canadian.
