Matteo Lane: Al Dente

I'm one of those gays who actually hates attention, well... mostly.  I like 'controlled' attention, like I received when I used to act on stage and did a little stand-up.  That need however, wore off after awhile, as like other drugs, attention can get tiring over time.  I do however, really enjoy other men who crave attention, as do like giving it... 

Last week, I gave quite a bit of attention to comedian Matteo Lane.  I'd previously seen and loved Matteo for a few years now.  I think after seeing him perform on some late night talk shows.  Last week however, Matteo was everywhere, promoting his new special, The El Dente Special on Hulu, and his new book, Your Pasta Sucks.

I watched Matteo's Hulu special over the weekend, and really enjoyed it.  I needed a good laugh, and Matteo really delivered.  One of the things I love about Matteo's humor is how relatable it is.  Not just to me, but to everyone.  So many comedians seem to write and perform for a specific group of people, their audience.  I'm sure Matteo does as well, but I found his humor more broadly appealing than many other comedians that I watch and enjoy.

Despite his obvious love of the spotlight, I also get the feeling Matteo loves his privacy and keeping parts of his personal life quite as well.   Prior to pandemic, and prior to his marriage in 2023, Matteo posted more thirst traps, and seemed to be looking for different kinds of attention.  Understandable, and grateful to have those old images.  The last year or so, he seems more focused on the attention coming for his work rather than his often nude body.

As much as I'll miss all those thirst traps, I totally get it.  The more I see Matteo on stage, the more I value his skill and talent.  Being a comedian today means constant challenges and obstacle courses on what is funny and what is acceptable.  

Matteo seems to have mastered those challenges, not by avoiding any particular subject, but by being incredibly funny.  He also skillfully ensures any arrows shot are rubber tipped, causing a jolt for sure, but not any permanent pain.

'The Power of Your Seed!'

I've been following model and motivational mentor Mario Hervas for a few years now.  I saw some behind the scenes shots of Mario from a shoot, (see last images) and was curious to learn more.  Mario leads a movement focusing on Masculine sacredness, focusing on developing not just your physical strength, but your mental and spiritual potential as well.

Mario practices and teaches something called seamen retention.  The goal, to unlock your sexual control and power through unlimited willpower.  I know my willpower was tested when searching for my favorite images of Mario.  Although I can't say I jumped on the seamen retention bandwagon, I did find it interesting learning more about it.  I'm not sure Mario helps his cause with the images he posted, which seem to promote release, rather than retention...
