Soap Spawn:
Final Warning!
I wasn't really spanked much as a kid, maybe a handful of times. It wasn't that I didn't get in trouble, it was more about my parents. Their philosophy was to never give a consequence that could end up also being a punishment for them.
My consequences usually hurt more than a spanking. I was very motivated socially. I liked going out, doing things and hanging with friends. Therefore, taking away my allowance usually meant I didn't have money for activities. I remember many evenings I was stuck at home, not because I was grounded, but because I didn't have the cash to a movie, a hockey game or another event.
Unfortunately for my parents, I was a keener, and started earning my own money when I was about 8 or 9 years old. Even before I could deliver newspapers, I was walking dogs and weeding my neighbours lawns. Once money wasn't a motivator, it became all about the car. Although we lived in a city, we were just far enough on the outskirts that meant getting anywhere required a drive. Sometimes I could hitch a ride with a friend, but not always.
The one thing most parents do is give a final warning before giving any consequence, especially a spanking. My mother gave multiple warnings, or maybe they were pleas. My father however, gave just one, if he gave any at all. Then before you knew it, the consequence was given. It came so fast you couldn't argue, and once he gave it, he was not going to compromise or change. He was all for compromise, but not after that final warning.
I don't remember the wooden spoon, except the time an older aunt was babysitting. That was the only time I was chased around the house by an angry adult swinging a kitchen utensil. My parents both used their hands. There were usually only 3 smacks, and they really didn't hurt. Most times, I think I would have chosen to take the three slaps over losing my allowance.... I know not everyone had 'loving' spankings, but I was fortunate that for the most part, mine were hesitantly doled out.
Sidenote: Although still new, I'm not really a big fan of AI. It's really throwing us all a curve ball, particularly aimed at artists. Like digital downloads and the Internet itself, it is becoming a part of our lives From time to time, for story based posts like this one, I may slip in an AI image or two. Most of the images in this piece are AI generated. It was actually a couple of the AI images of Dads giving their sons a 'final warning' that inspired me look for more. Unlike most AI images of the male form, they were visually interesting, and told a bit of a story.
