Favorite Birthday Boys for December 6th
Favorite Blast from The Past and Classic Playgirl Guy for Dec 6th Steve Bond
The pic of Kin Shriner and Steve Bond in the birthday section had me hunting down my old pics of actor Steve Bond. You may know Steve from his various tv appearances in the 70's and 80's (his biggest being stints on General Hospital and Santa Barbara) or his 1975 pictorial in Playgirl. Steve certainly defines the word 'stud'. Such a sexual man, that it was hard to concentrate on anything but what was under his jeans when he was on the tv screen. Steve has been absent from acting the past 8 years or so, but seems to have a small role in the upcoming movie 'Noah's Ark: The New Beginning' with Michael Keaton, Jason Lee and Jason Mewes. Love his playgirl pics, even though they scream 1970, they remain amazingly hot!
'Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild!' Missed Opportunities
Above and below, the main cast of 'Gays Gone Wild' l-r, Jonah Blechman, Jake Mosser, Jimmy Clabots and Aaron Michael Davies.
Finally watched 'Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild' last night and I have to tell you that I want to write how horrible it was, but there was still something about it that held my interest. Was it the the gross out scenes? Was it the projectile vomiting scene? nah. Was it the not funny at all father/son scene? nah. Was it Perez Hilton? Nah, if they needed that knob in the film, could they have kept it to one scene instead of having pop up all the time just when you hoped you had seen the last of him....
I love Will Wikle, and although he looked hot in the flick, I did not enjoy his character or that silly storyline. I also find Brent Corrigan adorable, however he only had a couple of brief appearances. What I did like about the movie, and believe me it does not make the movie a good one by any means were the four main leads. Jonah Blechman is the only hold over from the original film (not counting Scott Thompson) and Jonah is a talented guy. We all knew he could act, but he also shows his dancing abiities in this flick. My only problem with Jonah is that unlike the first movie where he had a story worthy of his talent, he comes off too over the top in this flick, not because he was not doing a good job, but because the film could not anchor his performance with decent writing and story.
Now don't get me wrong, the movie was pretty dismal. But Jake Mosser, Jimmy Clabots, and particularly Aaron Michael Davies and Euriamis Losada are so appealing, that even when given crap scenes, they pull it off. They are so likable that I found myself feeling bad for all the missed opportunities the writers and producers missed. These four actors have the looks and abilities to have pulled off a good movie, but instead they had this dribble. The movie made mention of a trilogy, well if that is the case, I hope they can find a story worthy of the talent they have. Now let me add, I realize I was not watching 'Schindler's list', but the movie was still a far cry from the original. (which as no masterpiece either, but was enjoyable) There were enough chuckles to give suggest you rent it, but not enough to suggest anyone buy it.
