American Horror Story, especially the show's first few years, had some truly terrifying Christmas episodes. Asylum (Season 2) had a particularly horrific one. In Unholy Night, Ian McShane played an especially sadistic and murderous Santa. Freak Show's holiday episode wasn't nearly as scary, but it was memorable.
Sure, we get our first Finn Wittrock butt scene, but that's not the only spectacular view. I love the how the show was shot, and the cinematographer and set designer deserve special props. The entire look and feel of 'Christmas' was so psychedelically retro. It reminded me of so many scenes in classic Christmas films and specials.
