A·wry :Away from the appropriate, planned, or expected course; amiss.
As usually, this post began with my spotting just one image. The hot image of phegyz at the top of this post. I didn't know who it was at first, but when I saw the hottie in the thong, I had to find out who was 'barely' wearing it. That led me not to phegyz, but to the Twitter page of AWRY menswear. The page was full of hot men who'd purchased the undies, and shared images of them wearing them on-line.
Now, I'm not advertising, nor promoting the brand, but... when I went to their website, (HERE:) I got lost in the hundreds of images of hot models in their undies. These certainly were not the undies we found in the Hanes value pack under the Christmas tree.
I didn't love the hot models, I also loved the images. The site did a great job creating visuals with not only sexy, but unique poses for the models. Sometimes underwear ads can be a little generic, but the images on the site didn't just promote itty bitty undies, but also the models. So many of the images really captured the unique personalities of the guys squeezed into the product. I recognized a few of the models, and even featured a couple previously on the site.
I also liked the brands mission statement, using Awry not as an acronym, but it's true meaning, 'away from the expected or normal path.' Although things have changed, men's underwear was at one time thought to have to be conservative, for comfort and not as a form of expression. This brand clearly doesn't subscribe to that notion at all.
"Awry" also means “perverse” or “wrong," so naming the brand AWRY is our way of smirking at anyone with a narrow idea of masculinity and of what men should or shouldn’t wear. We believe you deserve to look sexy and feel confident, no matter how little you’re wearing.'
Whether you visit the website or Twitter page, or like the undies at all, I thought like I did, you might enjoy the models and the images. I loved the selection of guys they chose, and it's clear they encouraged them to play with the product and have fun during the shoot.
