'A story should have a beginning, a middle and an end, but not necessarily in that order.'
Jean Luc Godard
We all have to start somewhere, and for many young actors looking for their big break, you still have to pay the rent. Many actors wait tables or tend bar while many others start out modeling before getting their big break. For actor Colin Farrell, nominated this year for best actor in The Banshees of Inisherin, it was modeling that paid the bills until he made it as an actor.
Many of you may have seen this video before, but was only while searching for images of Farrell for my Best Actor post that I came upon this gem thanks to DC poster xyzpdq. Colin's appearance on an Irish morning show, modeling a bright red thong, is from 1994 when the young actor was just 18 years old.
Despite looking incredibly delicious, the hosts of the show don't really seem really fond of the thong and appear aghast, especially when Colin turns around. I'm guessing this morning show appearance was one of Colin's last modeling gigs as it was the following year he received his first professional credit in his uncredited role as 'Young man in Cinema #2' in 1995's Frankie Starlight.
