This post didn't start out to be about American Horror Story 1984. It began with a focus on eighties fashion, minimal fashion of course. When going over the shots, most were fitness style shots, so I streamlined the shots to that theme. Aerobics was huge in the eighties, and striped socks, legwarmers, short shorts and headbands were donned by many at the time.
When I watched the premiere of AHS this week, the opening scenes in the aerobic studio, and especially Gus Kenworthy's Chet, embodied so much of what I was going for with the piece. Gus looks incredibly hot in his short shorts and 80's hair, and if one were forced to take an areobics class, who wouldn't want Chet in gyrating and sweating in front of you.
