'My purpose on this earth is to leave a room brighter than I found it.'
Although Michael Phelps may be known as 'the fastest swimmer in the world', 25 year old Caeleb Dressel is certainly giving him a run for his money. After breaking his world record two years ago at the World Championships, Dressel snatched away another Phelps record in the men’s 100 butterfly during the sixth day of prelims at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha.
Although some think it's a long shot, others believe it's possible Dressel could win up to seven gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics. Dressel won every single heat he competed in at the Olympic trials: 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly.
Dressel is already a two-time Olympic gold medalist and currently holds the world records in the 100 meter butterfly (both long course and short course), 50 meter freestyle (short course), and 100 meter individual medley (short course). Dressel holds the American records in 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle and in 50-meter and 100-meter butterfly (all long course). He also holds the short course records in 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events, the 100-yard butterfly, and the 200-yard individual medley, and formerly in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Although I can't say for sure, I believe the second guy from the right (below) is Caeleb.
