'On Oct.4 and Dec.26 the Strieber family drives from NYC to their cabin in the woods. Both nights there are some powerful lights outside and maybe aliens. The dad is mentally affected by the "bad dream", goes to the shrink and is hypnotized.'
Last summer, after binging and loving the Apple TV+ show Severance. I did post on actor John Turturro. (HERE:) I loved everything about the series, but was especially drawn to the romance between Irving and Burt. Turturro played Irving and the Burt, the object of his affection, was played by actor Christopher Walken.
What made the storyline so fascinating was the beautifully tender way they wrote the two characters. It's rare to see a romance between two men over 25 on television, let alone two over the age of 65. The show had us longing for all of the characters to find hope and love outside of their day jobs, but none other than for Irving and Burt.
I'm not sure exactly when I first got to know Christopher Walken, I'm pretty sure it started with one his hosting gigs on Saturday Night Live. I think I saw his comedy chops on SNL and in Wayne's World before finally diving into his incredible career as a dramatic actor on screen. Some of my favorite Walken films are his turns in At Close Range, The Dead Zone and The Deer Hunter.
Although Walken's on-screen resume is impressive, there is little to no nudity in his acting archive. The closest would be this seen from 1989 drama Communion. It's a fairly long scene, but you don't really see a heck of a lot. Just a few flashes of the top of Walken's butt. In addition to his talent, Walken does have an odd but intense sex appeal, both then, and now. I wanted to share the little that I was able to find.
