Kudos to Alan Ritchson

I've been covering, and uncovering, actor and model Alan Ritchson since the site's early years.  I remember his brief time as Aquaman on Smallville, only to get replaced by  Justin Hartley for the series.  Ritchson ended up returning to the role, and took supporting roles until finally get getting a series of his own.  I remember getting e-mails and images from his N2N sent on from the company to promote his campaign for the bodywear line.

There are many celebrities who've spoken out against the hateful orange idiot, but few, with the directness that Ritchson used in a recent feature in The Hollywood Reporter.  I was worried when I first read the headline, he might be lending support.  Ritchson has spoken of his Christianity, and sadly, so many seem to be following the false, and horrid idol.  As a Christian myself, I cannot fathom how anyone of faith can follow Trump.  

Religion has historically often been used by many for hate, violence and the demeaning of others. So many 'so called' Christians who judge others, while following money and evil in the name of God.  It was nice to be wrong, and pleasantly surprised to read Alan's brave words.  You shouldn't have to be brave to speak the truth, but there are still so many celebrities worried about their careers, (or their theme parks) and end up staying silent.  I get it, but kudos to Ritchson, we're far too close to another four years of Hell, years that the world may not come back from, to worry about anything other than trying to stop it.

I'm not sure why I haven't checked out Titans yet, I usually give most Greg Berlanti shows a go.  I also try to check everything involving actor  Brenton Thwaites.  It might be the superhero thing, I think between TV and movies, we're close to overdosing on all things Marvel and DC related. 

Titans also features actor Alan Ritchson, and actor I've been following since first seeing him on Smallville.  Ritchson first appeared on FH back in 2007 when he was playing another superhero, at the time it was his turn as Aquaman.  In the latest episode of Titans, Ritchson gets back in the water, although this time, he peeled of fhis scales. 

The actor's beefy butt has never looked better, and the embarrassment element of the scene makes it even hotter.  Ritchson's character Hank Hall is forced to strip in order to prove he's not wearing a wire.  Richson is taking on another action hero in his next project taking on the role of Jack Reacher in the new Amazon series.

Favorite Aquaman: Alan Ritchson

Although as posted last month, Justin Hartley is a favorite as Green Arrow. That being said, I prefered Alan Ritchson in the role of Aquaman. I think the pilot Justin did might actually have faired better if Alan had taken on the role. Yes, Justin may have a few more acting skills, but really, is that what we wanted in our Aquaman. Let thouse around him act for Emmy's, let Aquaman just swim and walk around shirtless. Alan has charm and the bod to have pulled it off. I hope there is at least one new pic of Alan here for those who enjoy him!

You have most likely seen this new pic of Alan Ritchson for Abercrombie & Fitch, but I had to post it anyway! What a pleasure to have Alan and Justin Hartley back on Smallville last night. I was out, but have it recorded to watch later.

The Men of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Last year after seeing The Hunger Games, I did a post (found HERE:) saluting the men of the film. That post became one of the blog's most popular of 2012 generating quite a few hits. Although some of the Hunger Hunks (Wes Bentley & Alexander Ludwig) were killed off, Catching Fire still had a plethora of Man candy to warrant a follow-up!

Josh Hutcherson

I love Josh Hutcherson, I love his acting and his off screen personality including his support of the gay community. I still struggle however with his casting as Peeta Mellark. In some ways there is not much more Hutcherson could do with the role, he is often called upon to be weak and saved by Katniss. Although I have read the books, I preferred for Katniss and Gayle as a couple and therefore often found Peeta a bit annoying.

I loved Catching Fire, but it didn't hold many surprises for me. I suppose it is a good thing, but the movie seemed to follow the book so closely, that if like me you had read it, there wasn't really much new to get out of the film. I thought it took far too long to get the games going, but once they did, the movie moved quickly to it's climax.

Liam Hemsworth

My wanting Katniss with Gayle might have something to do with the fact that Liam is near the top of my list of favorite movie men. Gayle had a few more moments in Catching Fire than the first film, and if the movies continue to follow the books, an even bigger role in the next two films.

Sam Claflin

I was a little worried prior to seeing the film about Sam Claflin. Finnick was a great character as written in the books, but in some of the early promotional material Claflin seemed far too styled and made-up, almost mannequin like. Fortunately, this look was pretty much for his first scene (image below) only and once the games started going he was impossible to take your eyes off. Claflin has a quality on screen, beyond what his images portray...Sam Claflin is simply addictive.

Great to see Alan Ritchson on the big screen as District 1's Gloss. Alan looked incredible in his few brief scenes, bringing together all the strength and determination of the character.

I loved these 90's Jockey ads and found them incredibly hot.  They passed in major magazines because they featured models posing as doctors and firemen making them seem deceptively tame.
