TR Pics: Santa's Little Helpers? (Part 2)

Like so many of us, even Santa Clause needs a little extra help around the holidays.  Especially for those 'special' jobs Mrs. Clause now refused to perform.  Even though Ole St. Nick only intended to hire one or two new helpers, the applications came pouring in.

Thousands of hot hopefuls were hoping to help Santa out, by sitting on his lap for mall practice, and testing out their sucking skills with the candy canes.  With so many eager hopefuls, Santa enlisted photographer TR Pics to help narrow down the list.   Tom's job was to take some shots for the hopefuls to attach with their resumes.  I introduced the first three applicants earlier this week, (HERE:) here are the next set of naughty hopefuls looking to work hard for their money.

Fujoshi

A Fujoshi (腐女子) is a Japanese term for a female fan of manga, anime, and novels featuring romantic relationships between men, known as Boys' Love (BL) or yaoi; originally a derogatory term meaning "rotten girl," it's now reclaimed by fans who enjoy these fictional M/M pairings, often creating fanworks and engaging in shipping, though it's distinct from real-life orientation and focuses on fictional content.

Ok, I promise, FH isn't going to become an all 'Heated Rivalry' site, but like so many, I've been enjoying the Crave created television series.  I've been posting about the show since early October when the promotional department really started going into overdrive.  I've seen the first four episodes, (the fifth, I'll watch tomorrow night) and have enjoyed them all.

My favorite episodes were the third and forth, and as much as I love the nude scenes, I'm totally caught up in the relationships between Shane and  Ilya and between Hunter and Kip.  I love how intense they are, how forbidden and the deep yearning the characters feel and express.

I love what creator and writer Jacob Tierney has brought to the screen, both visually and emotionally.  So much so, that yes, i ordered the books by author Rachel Reid.  They were hard to find, they're sold out almost everywhere.  I did find a seller in time to have the first book, Game Changers, arrive by Christmas.  The focus of the first book was on the relationship between Hunter and Kip, so I'll be curious to read what didn't make the screen.

Great art is not only visually and emotionally satisfying, it also can also educate.  For me, this show is the first time I've seen the word 'Fujoshi ' used so frequently on-line.  I've heard of the phenomenon  before,  I experienced it with Heartstopper.  The creator was a woman, and so are many of the fans.  As with Shane and Ilya, so many women, and men like myself, did not just enjoy, but became invested in the relationship between Charlie and Nick.

Reading some reviews, and some comments on-line, I do see that not all fans of the show fall into the category of Fujoshi.  Many seem unmoved by the emotional part of the relationship, and complain there's not enough story, and not enough nudity.  It's interesting to me how the show hits differently for some, I'm sure there are reasons, I'm guessing, (knowing my own personality traits), that I know what some of them are.  I'm just enjoying the ride though, and looking forward to watching the last to episodes.
