When I was a kid, if anyone asked me what I wanted for Valentine's Day, it would have been chocolate for sure. We weren't actually given gifts on the 14th by our parents, but there were usually chocolate hearts to be found somewhere, often at school

As a young boy, I never really thought of receiving flowers, they were something my mother got on Mother's Day. Then one night, after the curtain calls for my high school production of Pajama Game, (I played Prez) I was given a small bouquet of flowers. The entire cast got them, with the leads getting the biggest bouquet.

I remember being initially embarrassed about getting, and then carrying around my flower bouquet. I got over it quickly. When I got home, I put those flowers on my bedroom bureau and loved the color and energy they brought to the room. I kept them for weeks, until there were no flowers left to be seen. There was nothing left but a few stems and a dried out leaf or two.

I still enjoy buying fresh flowers now and then. Given the cost of everything these days, it's been awhile since I picked any up. The last purchase was last December when I bought a winter bouquet with some fresh berries and pine branches for Christmas.
I still however, pull out the debt card to buy chocolate. I actually find it cheaper, and more delicious to make my own. I often make bark using dark chocolate chips mixed with almonds, or sometimes with swirls of caramel or white chocolate. I usually make a ton in December and freeze some, and then add the rest to gifts I'm giving.

When Roger from RMark Photo sent on his Valentine images, I knew I chose to focus on the images with chocolates. I was also reminded that I still have one batch of smore bark, (dark chocolate, mini-marshmallows and walnuts) left in the freezer. I always enjoy featuring RMark's holiday imagery, and especially love seeing the shots of so many of the models Roger has worked with that I've enjoyed spotlighting in the past.

Photographer Gerrit Starczewski called, and once again festivalgoers stripped down for his photos. This time he struck at the FM4 Frequency Festival 2013. In addition to getting naked and having fun, the event also raised money for charity. You can check out video from the event on Youtube HERE:
Pounding Palpitations: Axel Porter by TR Pics 💖
'The results I got from that shoot were far beyond my expectations!
When I featured the aphrodisiac activating Axel Porter earlier this month, (HERE:) I knew from the number of hits, he stimulated a few reader's hearts, (and other organs...) to pound a little harder. When Tom from TR Pics said he also captured some Valentine themed images, I could not resist seeing and enjoying more of Axel's energy and incredible body.
'I had shot with Axel before, but mainly in a physique mode or setting, so I wasn't sure how he'd feel with mood lighting and props. But it was during this shoot that we did some shots for "Groundhog Day", and he was very much into it! In fact, the results I got from that shoot were far beyond my expectations! Therefore, I knew he'd do fine if I threw in the Valentine's theme....'
'Axel can be very quiet and seem so serious at times. And yet, you put him in front of the camera and he really blossoms. I hardly had to give him any direction at all, and he is so proud of where his body is at this point, that it was a pleasure watching him present himself... even if it meant just holding up a silly plastic plate from Target. I think he did an amazing job, and the mixture of fun and physique really comes through.'
This time, Axel was posing without his furry little rodent friend, just the Target heart Tom referred to. I know my heart was pounding not only because of Axel's hotness, but because of the way Tom used the red lighting to set an erotetically charged tone. Since it is Valentine's Day, I was curious how this muscled stud feels about the February 14th holiday. Turns out, it brings out aspects of both the softer, and then harder sides of the physique model's personality.
What are your thoughts on Valentine's Day?
I find Valentine’s Day to be a fun day to celebrate love. I don’t go all out for it but I always try to make it memorable
Do you have any favorite past Valentine moments?
I do. Valentine’s Day 2020 was when my partner and I adopted our dog. Not planned out or anything it’s just how it played out
Do you prefer to get flowers? Chocolate? Something else?
So I am definitely more into making memories than physical gifts. So the best valentines gift for me is a night I’ll always remember

12 Days: Kyle Gallner in Strange Darling 💔
'Strange Darling Nothing is what it seems when a twisted one-night stand spirals into a serial killer's vicious murder spree.'
Most years on February 14th, I choose a romance, or a Valentine's themed horror flick for my 12 Days post. This year, I went in a different direction. Instead, I starting searching for 'bad romance' themed films, movies where the love affair is far from loving and romantic.
After scrolling films from Fatal Attraction, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle and Possessed, I came upon a more recent film that fit the bill, 2023's Strange Darling. Written and directed by JT Mollner, the phycological thriller certainly fit the bill. iThe film's structure is non-linear, going by chapters, starting with chapter 3, them moving , 5, 1, 4, 2, 6, and ending with the Epilogue.
The film stars Willa Fitzgerald as 'the Lady' and Kyle Gallner as 'the Demon'. The film had a ton of shocks and surprises, starting from the get-go. There is quite a bit of violence and blood and an older couple, (Ed Begley Jr. and Barbara Hershey) who, after meeting 'the lady' end up having a really bad day.
I've known Gallner's work for awhile. I think I first say him on Smallville, but have seen him in many roles. I always love his choices, and I think his turn as the Demon was one of his best performances. Gllner was also incredibly hot, in a sinisterly sexy sort of way.
Gallner was on almost every show during the 2000's, with recurring roles on Smallville, Big Love, CSI: NY and of course Veronica Mars. Although always a strong member of the cast, for me, he really stood out as hot leading man in Strange Darling. Critics seemed to agree, and Gallner and the film won both praise and award nominations.
Gallner hasn't done a lot of nudity, (so far) but has shown his butt in a few quick, and darkly lit scenes.
